Guilty As Charged
"I have heard with keen interest to all that has been presented before me and before I pass my judgement, I would like to allow my jury to pass their verdict in this intriguing case. The jury are you ready to pass your verdict?"
One of the five at the bench stands up and bows majestically before the judge to show reverence. This is the final step of my journey. The bench's decision is final and will either be my doom or fall. With a close fist and clenched teeth ,I heave a great sigh of relief. My heart is literally in my mouth. What if they vote against me? I know for sure I'm innocent. I'm no murderer neither am I a fraudster. Why is all this happening to me? Is it because of the company I keep?
