Aria Winters was the pack's punching bag, a weak omega who dreamed of the day she would find her mate and fly away. But when her mate turned out to be Alpha Ethan Vance, her dream became a living nightmare. Blinded by a cruel curse and pack politics, Ethan rejected her in the most brutal way possible, leaving her to die in a frozen river.

But Aria did not die.

Five years later, she is no longer the broken omega. She is a powerful healer, a mother to a secret alpha heir, and a woman with fire in her veins. When a dying Ethan tracks her down to save his failing pack, he expects a helpless girl. Instead, he finds a queen who looks at him with cold indifference.

Ethan wants his mate back. He wants to chase her to the ends of the earth to earn her forgiveness. But with a rival Alpha planning to steal her away and a dark curse threatening to consume them both, can Ethan win back the heart he so ruthlessly broke? Or will Aria’s revenge be his ultimate downfall?

Chapter 1: The Cold Rejection
The rain poured down on the stone courtyard of the Blood Moon Pack house. Aria Winters stood in the mud, her thin clothes soaked to the skin. Her body trembled from the biting cold, but her heart beat with a wild, desperate hope. Today was her eighteenth birthday. It was the day every werewolf finally discovered their fated mate. For years, Aria had been the lowest omega in the pack. She cleaned the floors, washed the heavy clothes, and ate the leftovers from the pack feasts. The warriors kicked her for fun, and the high-ranking she-wolves used her as a target for their cruel jokes. Her only hope was that her mate would be a kind wolf from another pack who would take her away from this living hell. A sudden wave of warmth washed over her. The scent of pine wood and expensive dark chocolate filled the wet air. It was a smell so rich and intoxicating that her inner wolf, Luna, woke up and began to howl with pure joy. "Mate," Luna whispered inside her mind. "Our mate is here, Aria. He is strong. He is beautiful." Aria looked up through her wet hair. Walking down the stone steps of the pack house was Alpha Ethan Vance. He was the absolute ruler of the Blood Moon Pack. He was tall, with broad shoulders and a body made of hard muscle. His short black hair was damp from the rain, and his sharp jawline was set in a tight, angry line. His golden eyes swept across the courtyard, looking directly at her. Aria gasped. Her heart stopped. The Alpha was her mate. The most powerful man in the northern territories belonged to the poorest omega in the world. For a single second, a dream of a happy life flashed in her mind. She would no longer sleep on the cold basement floor. She would have a warm bed, good food, and a strong husband to protect her. But the look in Ethan’s eyes was not filled with love. It was filled with deep disgust. He walked down the steps, his heavy black boots splashing loudly in the puddles. The entire pack gathered around the courtyard, whispering and pointing at Aria. "Is that trash really the Alpha's mate?" a warrior laughed. "Look at her. She can barely stand. She is too weak to give him strong pups," a she-wolf sneered. Ethan stopped exactly three feet away from Aria. He looked down at her small, shivering frame. His golden eyes were cold, like blocks of ice. There was no warmth, no affection, and no recognition of the sacred bond that the Moon Goddess had created between them. "Aria Winters," Ethan’s deep voice boomed across the crowded courtyard. The authority in his words made everyone go completely silent. Even the rain seemed to quiet down. "You are a weak, useless omega. You have no family, no status, and no power. My pack requires a strong Luna to lead our warriors and protect our borders. You are nothing but a burden." Aria felt a sharp pain in her chest. It felt like a physical knife stabbing directly into her heart. "Ethan," she whispered, her voice cracking. "Please. The Moon Goddess chose us." "Do not speak my name with your filthy mouth," Ethan snapped, his voice growing darker. A strange, shadowy black mist seemed to swirl faintly around his eyes for a split second. It was the mark of the Vance family curse, a dark magic that made every Alpha of his line value brutal power over true love. "I am the Alpha, and my word is absolute law." He took a deep breath and raised his right hand. "I, Alpha Ethan Vance of the Blood Moon Pack, hereby reject you, Aria Winters, as my mate and as the future Luna of this pack. You are dismissed from my sight." A felt a loud, tearing sound echo inside her soul. The invisible bond that connected her heart to his snapped violently. Her inner wolf let out a painful, agonized scream before falling completely silent, retreating into the deepest corners of Aria's mind. The pain was so intense that Aria fell to her knees, her hands digging into the cold, wet mud. Tears mixed with the rain on her pale cheeks. She looked up at him, her large green eyes filled with absolute heartbreak. "Why?" she choked out. "Why are you doing this to me?" Ethan did not answer her question. He simply turned his back on her, his long black cloak swirling in the wind. "Get out of my pack territory by tomorrow morning," he said coldly over his shoulder. "If I see you here again, my warriors will hunt you down like a rogue." The pack members laughed and cheered as Ethan walked back into the warm, bright house. Nobody offered Aria a hand. Nobody showed her a single drop of pity. She was left alone in the dirt, broken and rejected by the one person who was supposed to love her forever.
