Without thinking, I threw myself in front of them, tackling the wolf midair. It was a blur of fur and teeth, but instinct guided my body. The two of us hit the ground hard, the impact jarring my bones. The beast's jaws snapped dangerously close to my face, the sound of its teeth clashing like thunder in my ears. My heart pounded with the intensity of battle, and I could feel my wolf surging to the surface, taking control.
