CLASPING ON TO FAITH
PART TWO
Chinaza partially felt lonely, she just walked around exploring nature.
Suddenly,she heard a voice,it was the old woman's voice
"Young girl,where are you?"she called
"Mama I'm here"Chinaza answered
She advanced towards the woman who beckoned on her to sit so they could discuss.
"Thank you my daughter,I feel better now,We are strangers so may we know ourselves?"
"Mama,my name is Chinaza. I am an orphan.I live with my uncle and his family, when I packed into their house,I thought I had somewhere I belonged. Little did I know that I was embarking on my journey to slavery" Chinaza said with tears
"Did you get to know your parent?"Old woman asked
"Yes. I learn they were dead by water accidents,I was with them but I was saved."
"What were your parents name?"old woman asked
"Mr and Mrs Olubi Ozo"chinaza answered
The old woman's heart spanked in when she heard the name. Indeed, she was Chinaza's grandmother. Mr Olubi was her son. Chinaza had lived with her for three years before her parents decided to travel by water which was the cheapest means of transportation. She needed another proof to be sure of her suspection. She looked more closely at Chinaza and saw a scar on her face which she got when tjey played hide-and-seek together.
"How did you get this scar?"She purposely asked
"When I lived with my grandmum,we played a game hide-and-seek I hit my face and got the sturborn scar"Chinaza replied
"I see you looked stressed,go and rest,we'll continue tomorrow okay"Old woman said.
As chinaza spoke the old woman felt a strong sense of belonging. They both changed the topic and discussed about the tall trees, animals and flowers.
It was late and Chinaza passed the night there.
