Vanessa leaned back in her chair, taking a long sip of her latte as she let the peaceful ambiance of the café seep into her thoughts. The conversation had been all about her lately, and while Bella never complained, Vanessa knew it wasn’t fair to constantly take the spotlight. “So,” Vanessa said, setting her mug down with a deliberate thud, “enough about me. What’s going on with you, Bells? I feel like I’ve been monopolizing every single one of our conversations.” Bella waved her off with a casual flick of her wrist. “Please.
