Steven's POV I can already see why Heather doesn't talk to her parents much. I stand up and introduce myself. "Hello, I'm Steven Giovanni. I'm sorry about the loss of your daughter. I can't imagine what you both must be going through." Her father doesn't talk much, but he sticks his hand out and I shake it. He proceeds to take a seat next to Joy and says hello to her. "Well, I'm glad to see someone around here has manners." Her mother smiles at me before glaring at Heather. "I'm Ann, but you can just call me mom. Tell me, why does your name sound so familiar?" I have a gut feeling she already knows but is just playing dumb. The key way being the way her eyes lit up when I told her my name.
