Forever Betrayed

Chapter 5

April POV

As he was trying to figure out who hurt me, I quickly fired questions at him. "What is your name?" I asked. "Justin" he replied. "What pack do you belong to?" I pressed on. "Sweet Water pack, we are just north about twenty minutes away.” Lastly, I asked him, "why are you being so nice to me?" Justin told me that he has been waiting for his who life for me and deserves all the happiness that life has to offer. "I don't know who hurt you before, but I can promise that you will never be hurt like that again." I could no longer control the tears; I did not know how to react. Justin asks if he can hug me. I nod nervously. Justin slowly hugged me not wanting to startle me all over again. He asked if he could join me in my room.

I was a little nervous, but I agreed, so we could get to know each other better. We talked for hours learning everything from our favorite food to the biggest pet peeve. I could not believe how easy it was to talk to him. I reluctantly told him all about the abuse and the rejection once I figured out that he was not going to hurt me. Justin was beyond pissed when he heard how they treated me. But he tried to hide his anger. I am sure he wanted to jump back in the vehicle and drive to Roanoke. I was able to talk him down, but something wanted me to let him go.

He took me by the hand and pulled me down on the bed. I froze because I have never been this close to a male, let alone lay with one in a bed. Justin gently pulled my back to his chest and just wrapped his arms around me. As he got closer to me, he took a giant whiff off my neck. Justin has the most alluring scent I have ever smelled. He said I smell like chocolate and strawberries. I chuckled. Slowly I drifted off into the most peaceful sleep I have ever had.

Justin POV

I pulled her down to lay with me. I asked if she wanted to lie with me and she nodded. I watched as she slowly drifts off. She must be having a nightmare because she starts to cry. I wrapped my arms a little tighter not wanting to scare or hurt her. I dozed off into a peaceful sleep with my mate wrapped up in my arms

I woke up earlier then she did and just enjoyed the view. At some point she wrapped her leg over my waist. I could feel myself become erect and did not want to scare her, so I slowly slid out from beneath her. I walked to the bathroom to take care of myself.

I heard her wake up and begin to cry. I quickly walked out to check on her. She sees me and runs to me. She sniffles as telling me that she thought I left her.

“Never my love will I leave you.” I reassured her. I can her feel her relax against my chest. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” I continued. “I cannot wait to mark you, marry you, and see you raise out pups. I want to grow old with you.”

Jared knocks on the door, and I go to answer it. “Good morning, Justin. Would you and the Lu...” I cut him off as I did not want to scare her. “Would you two like breakfast. April nodded her head in agreement.

Jared called the restaurant closest to us. I ordered the pancake and eggs platter, while April only ordered a bagel. I tried to reassure her that she could order more, that is when she makes a statement, they set my blood on fire. “I was never allowed much food. We all ate in the pack house, but I had to eat in the pack house and was only allowed a small patch of eggs and a slice of bread. Jared joined us for breakfast. We all ate in silence. I hear April moan as she ate the fresh eggs. I had to readjust myself as just a small moan for her made me hard as a rock.

Once we were done eating, I told Jared to get our stuff together. “Are you ready to go to your new home?” I asked her. She sat there for a minute before slowly nodding. I helped April pack up her clothes and belongings and handed them off to Jared. April stood there for a minute contemplating something before she walked to me and grabbed my hand. She looked up at me with a small smile on her face, telling me she was ready.
