Yes dear one, we are ancient race. we contain magic elemental. It is our choice what we do with it." Tala gave me a mental hug. "You would not have said that word if you had not been in grave danger. Each holds its own power. In the langauge if magic, it contians the truest form. Which can control, kill and rebirth in an instant. why only a few lines have it. To much power of everyone." She felt still close and the warmness of her words settled me around like a bubble of power.
"What is thiisssssss," I heard the voice before I seen it. My eyes snapped to the location I guessed it came from. Just outside the bars, the reptilian face and a kinda human shape to its body.
"I did some decorating," I shrugged.
"You mouthy b***h!" it snarled and stomped off.
"Well at least he got that right." I heard Tala chuckle.
You could hear the sounds of him mad as a hornet and running down the hallway. I was curious how long it would take to see whoever he ran to get. A minute or two after his sounds stopped you heard a hissss followed by a low rumble. the ground vibrated. Though this time I did not feel its wrath within my circle. The rumble and vibration was getting louder and louder. I was curious what this monster truly looked like.
Nervous excitment built in me. I was not sure what to expect. Then I seen a whisp of black smoke. More began to billow, and swirl until it was a a mass of dark twisting smoke circling around each other. "How have you done this wolf?" It growled.
"Well I thought it was to drab for me so I spruced it up," I smirked.
I could feel the vibrating energy coming my way but it bounced back and hit the swirl. The smoke vibrated and screamed, twisting this ans that way. Until it went poof, gone. No screaming just empty space.
"Tala?" I asked in my head.
"I think, it killed it's self." She was just as unsure as me.
"Well do I try the gate?" I asked.
"Why not, if its open perhaps we can get an idea of a way to go." Tala guessed.
"Worth a shot," I stopped and paused a minute. "Where are these caves located?"
"No one knows." Tala sounded solid in that thought.
"Ok, well if we get out we can figure out where we are I guess." I figured if we were out it was better then being in. I pushed on the gate and it popped open.
"Let's go!" Tala yelled excitedly.
We ran, turning corners dipping into areas when we seen or felt other creatures coming. But when no one was there, we ran fast and we ran hard. Making it to a room with fountains and trees told me.we had to be getting close to the surface. I turned a corner and that is when I saw it a luminous white dragon. I skidded to a halt. Try to back peddle, I slipped and fell flat on my back. I had no idea if the dragon saw or heard me. I knew I had rounded the corner. I would lay there and wait.
Staring at the ceiling, I hoped and hoped that it hadn't. Until I saw the nostrils and teeth turning the corner. I held my breath. I looked down with golden colored eyes. I almost thought I seen a smirk, as clawed hand wrapped around me. Picking me the dragon moved fast for being huge. Darting through tunnels and to stopping at a stone wall. Looking down at me it winked! So it had smiled! Who was this dragon?
"Sleep," it said, releasing its breath in a golden haze.
"Who are you?" I breathed and as sleep found me while Tala hummed.
************
I woke up to Tala humming in my head. She had a very pleased air to her self. I opened my eyes. to see we were flying up high, clouds below us. This time I was not being hurt while being carried. Claws were around me, not in me. I was solidly being held no dangling or panic.
"How do you feel?" I heard a voice in my head ask.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"Tvso, I was asked to come get you from the Draconian lair." The voice answered.
"Can you tell me where we are going?" I was curious.
"Taking you to a healer, then home is my orders," the dragon grunted.
"Thank you," I breathed. My body went limp again. Sleep found me fast.
**************
I woke up in a stone hut, the windows open, sunlight and heat pouring through them. I could smell wet earth, plants and flowers. I could also smell food. Glorious food. I don't remember the last time I had eaten. My stomach growled in response.
"It sounds like you have not had a good meal in a while young wolf." I heard an older woman's voice say with a smile.
Turning my attention to the door way of the room and not the windows, I seen an elegant older woman. Her grey hair pulled back into a bun, in her hands a plate of food that instantly made my mouth water. She smiled her brown eyes warm and inviting. Walking toward me, she placed the plate on my lap even while I was trying to sit up.
I grimanced as my shoulders both bit back at the action of me lifting up. "Thank you" I breathed in the smell of the delicious food infront of me.
"You are welcome," she smiled. "My name is Isabel. But Izzy for my friends," she gave a wink with a smirk.
"Can I ask how long I have been here?" I worded between mouthfuls of food.
"About three days." She glanced at the windows, and grabbed some clothing. "Your wounds will take another week to heal." She mentioned offhandly.
"How did I get here?" Still shoving food.in my face.
"Tsvo dropped you off. Said he would be back for you when you were able to travel better." She didn't even flinch saying his name.
"So you seen the dragon?" I stopped eating to just outright say it.
"Yes, I have seen and healed many things over the course of my life." She handed me the clothes and sat down in the chair near my bed. "Though it has been a very long while since I seen a Leto Offspring." She raised a brow as if asking me to fill in her blanks.
"From what I gather is I the product if someone called One who Remembers and a southern wolf." I shrugged continuing to shove food in my mouth.
She paused a moment, I could see she was thinking. "Ah, Mariana and Mario," She smiled. "They were a soul contract at the wrong time." She looked back at me her eyes warm, "What dragon caused this damage?"
I thought back to the dragon she asked about, "I don't know his name, but black, red eyes" I shrugged.
Isabel was quiet for some time. "Interesting," She stood, " let me refill this plate for you." She smiled and took the plate I noticed that was just emptied. "A full belly always heals one's body faster." Taking my plate she was not gone long before another helping of that fantastic yummy came back. She sat with me and chatted while I ate making conversation about bits in my life. Almost like I was visiting my grandma, who had been long since gone.
