Michael's POV
I don't think I've ever felt pain like this before.
Seeing Nicole lying there, battered and covered in blood, filled me with a fury unlike anything I'd ever known. All I wanted was to kill every person who had harmed her, even if that person was Vera.
The lights in the operating room dimmed, and the door swung open. The doctor stepped out, and I jumped to my feet, rushing toward him.
"Doctor, how is Nicole?" I asked, my voice tight with fear.
"We've managed to stabilize her condition," the doctor replied. "But she's still in critical condition. Multiple bones are broken, and she’s lost a lot of blood. Honestly, I'm amazed. How is she still alive?"
