I walked at the front, with Erich right beside me. My eyes had adjusted to the darkness, allowing me to see the cavern walls around us. The stench was unbearable. I could smell the rouges and the scent of blood.
My entire body trembled. I didn’t know if Nicole was here.
The further we went, the stronger the scent of blood became. I could also smell Nicole.
