Just then, the door swung open, and Brian came rushing down the steps. He scanned the area, locking eyes with Oakrow. Upon seeing him, Oakrow excitedly ran towards him, shouting, “Brian!” while Brian called out, “Oakrow!”
As Oakrow and Brian shared a heartfelt reunion, Oakrow approached me and patted my shoulder.
“Hey, Brian, you should meet Nicole. She’s the head wolf trainer of The Solar Eclipse Pack.”
“Nicole, the head wolf trainer?” That voice belonged to Vera, my twin and nemesis. I hadn’t expected to see her at the training grounds, but I knew she would try to humiliate me, as usual.
