chapter 1: intro
A 23-year-old man found himself in a difficult situation when he had a baby with a woman who was 10 years older than him, at the age of 19. At the time, he was living with his biological father and sleeping on the living room floor. However, his father's best friend accused him of stealing money, and his father subsequently kicked him out of the house.
With nowhere else to go, the young man moved in with his girlfriend. They lived together for four years, but the relationship eventually broke down because he was an "asshole" and didn't know how to treat her properly. Feeling dejected, he moved back in with his adopted mother for a few days before moving in with his sister, whose house was close to his adopted mother's.
Determined to turn his life around, the young man decided to join the army at the age of 21. He chose the infantry as his military occupational specialty (MOS) and went through OSUT (One Station Unit Training), where he thrived and found a sense of purpose. He wasn't doing it for himself, but for his daughter.
After graduating from basic training, the young man sent $800 to his ex-girlfriend so that his daughter could come and visit him. However, his ex-girlfriend never showed up, but his adopted mother and brother did. When his ex-girlfriend turned off his phone, he had to use his buddy's hotspot on Sundays to talk to his family.
During his two-week leave for Christmas, the young man fell in love with motorcycles and bought a 2024 Honda Grom. He then flew to Louisiana and, as a PV2 (Private 2), completed his first deployment overseas.
It was during this deployment that the young man met a woman on Tinder and rushed into a marriage with her, now as a PFC (Private First Class). However, on his second deployment overseas, his new wife cheated on him and set him up on weapon charges and domestic violence allegations, causing him to start hating the army.
