Del Well, that got him mad. Not that I regret it, not in the slightest. I’ve been wanting to do something like this ever since last night and the satisfaction of seeing him on that broken a*ss floor was a sight for sore eyes. And now the real chase can begin. I run through the tick forest, my shoes leaving deep marks in the moody soil with every step I make, the squeaky sounds echoing in my ears like thunders. The heavy branches hit my face, scratch my neck as I rush though them barely able to catch my breath. The air is cold and humid, the forest quiet, like every beast around already knows there’s a bigger, larger predator has arrived.
