Rose was cooking lunch for Zachary, Alexander, Leo, Annabelle and herself, when she heard the latch of the front door click. "Hello, who is leaving its lunch time! Food is almost ready come back here!" Rose demanded thinking one of the guys was about to take off after Roman. Rose walked around the wall separating the foyer from the dining room and kitchen. Instead if smelling musky body odor she smelled flowers. "Well.... the only woman here besides me is Annabelle. But she can't barely walk. She wouldn't just leave- she needs transportation....." Dropping everything she ran to the front door swinging it open all she could see was shoe prints and small amounts of blood. "ANNABELLE! COME BACK! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!" Running frantically she ran around the front yard all the way back by the barn and she could not see Annabelle anywhere. Looking in hay, side under brush anything Anna could be hiding in- Rose could not find her. In a panic she ran back to the house to get the guys. "ZACHARY! ALEXANDER! COME QUICKLY! I CANT FIND ANNA, IVE SEARCHED EVEFYWHERE!!!!" Rose was panicking, because she knew she was in immediate danger the Earl of Steinburg lived several miles away and if he was out and about he could spot her and kill her on sight. " Rose what is going on! I can't find Roman! Where's Annabelle? I can't find her either." Zachary stated bluntly, slightly irritated by the panic in Rosemary. "Roman is meeting with the Duke and Cassandra at the horse shoe fields he left twenty minutes ago. But, Annabelle I haven't seen or heard her walking about or even waking up! Where could she be going?" Rose was so, full of guilt she didn't know how to find her. "Sweetheart, I know you wanted to help the girl but, we are not responsible for her." Zach said with compassion in his voice. "Zach, you don't understand, Roman went to look at her wounds to assess the damage....." Rose was hushed quickly. "Rose, whatever, Roman thought he was doing, you know could never be with him and that poor girl. Maybe, she just heard you and took her leave." Zachary said,, trying to comfort his bethrothed. "But... we cant...... we can't just let her go Zach..... she doesn't have anyone..... no family..." Rose sobbed out. "We can't force the girl to stay. Who knows Rose, maybe she gotten herself into more trouble than she said we don't know that. We have baby Leo and the guys to look out for. Either way we are no medical doctor- we couldn't help her with her wounds maybe this is best for her." Zach, spoke slow and clear with understanding. "Alright, your right Zachary, well I didn't make lunch for nothing let's go eat. Roman is going to be crushed- we were suppose to take her to the infirmary ourselves make sure she got there...." Rose explained. "Roman will get the hell over it! He has a soon bride to be and he has to focus and concentrate on fulfilling his debt to the Duke. He better! I'm not paying for his gambling debts." Zachary reminded Rosemary. Rose and Zachary headed for the kitchen to finish putting the food on plates for everyone.
As the door shut, all Annabelle could think was, 'They have been very kind, I wont allow this small obstacle to dim my opinions of them. Thank the heavens for sending me to them even if for a small time. I had fallen in love with Roman........ but that doesn't matter he is a spoken for man. I must forget him now.' Annabelle, looked toward the dirt road scouring for any and all under brush. Since her wounds made it physically difficult to walk quickly- she wanted to be able to limp slowly according to how many, side of the road bushes would hide her from street view. Annabelle, was extremely terrified the Earl would find her and her priority now was to not get killed or tortured. Anna wanted to get as far away from Steinberg Romania, as she could without anyone persons spotting her. With her mind set but not focused, she limped quickly to the bushes. Once she reached the bushes she walked on the side facing the farms and not the outer side where people rode thier buggys and horses. Sure, maybe she was "trespassing" on the outskirts of peoples farm land. Annabelle was just hoping being so far away from any of thier homes nobody would notice or care. Annabelle started silencing all pain filled thoughts of Roman Heartsmith or his wonderful Family- she had to concentrate on sounds and voices. Annabelle had gotten two miles from the Heartsmiths home when she heard four men yelling and fighting on the other side of the bushes. 'Oh, no.... that voice sounds wicked, cruel and familiar...... get in the bushes under brush. NOW!DO IT NOW!' Annabelle silently screamed at herself. "Wait, did you hear that sounded like someone was walking up on us." Randal, the small thief from the Hype Bandits said suspicious. "See, Simone, I told you we should have just gone to the Earl's Estate and handle this." Scott, the Hype Bandit informant spoke low toned and Agitated to no end. " Scott's right, the Earl's Estate is 25 miles in that direction. Wait Saregontas, is about 2 hours ride that way. The Earl's cousin daughter is marrying some dope that way who has some kind of a gambling debt. The Earl won't be getting back until next Wednesday. Let's go to Saregontas, the Earl needs to know what the law has planned for him." Simone spoke roughly, leading the small groups of bandits. 'Annabelle, Annabelle...... what have you done? If these men see you...... they won't know who you are..... but they are the Earl's men for sure.... The only way out of Steinberg is to go through the main street of Saregontas. Thats where he is!!' Friegtend and terrified, Anna kept limping but, now she was crouching almost crawling. As she passed each cross roads she was desperately searching for the infirmary sign. No such luck would be bestowed upon her, reality had no compassion for her.
