Confronting the Past
Sofia hesitated, trying to choose her words carefully as she faced Lena. “I won’t deny that I want to rekindle something between me and David. But I want us to find a way to navigate this without creating further conflict—especially for Chris.”
Lena's eyebrows knit together in disbelief. “You think we can just ignore the fact that you and David had something intense, and now both of our lives are intertwined? You want to coexist, but what does that mean for me? For Chris?”
“I know it sounds difficult,” Sofia replied, her voice earnest. “There’s a long history between David and me, and I can’t pretend that it doesn’t exist. But I also understand that you two have built a family together. I don’t want to undermine that. I just want a chance to talk to him.”
