The gray wolf shifts into a beautiful man. His tanned built body shined in the moonlight. His face went from serious to a smirk. ''Do you like what you see?'' he asked. I stepped back ready to run. ''Wait! Please don't leave.'' he sounded sad but excited. ''You don't remember me do you?'' I turned around to see the sexy stranger walk towards me with his hand out. I just stared at his hand. ''Can you shift back so we can talk please? I can explain everything better if I could see your face.'' I sighed and shifted back.

Once human again I stood with my arms across my chest. The stranger smiled. ''My name Gabriel but you can call me Gabe. You're Cassie right?'' That made me snap to attention and put my guard up. ''How do you know my name?'' I said anger seeping into my voice. Gabe put his hands up in defence. ''You really don't know who I am do you?'' He dropped his head. When Gabe looked up his eyes were sad. ''I was there when you was attacked. When that man killed your mom.'' He shook his head and continued, ''I had no idea he was you dad. It boggled my mind to see a hunter and a wolf had had a child.'' I was so confused that my head was spinning. My vision started to get fuzzy. then everything went dark.

Gabriel's POV:

As soon as he seen her legs start to buckle he ran over and caught her. I can't believe it. I found her, he thought. Gabriel picked her up into his arms and started to walk home. I couldn't help be mesmerized by her beauty. She made my inner wolf whimper because of the pain on her face. The pain was evident even though she was asleep. It breaks my heart. I wish I could take all that pain away he thought.

As soon as I seen the house all I could think of was making her feel safe. I took her inside and put her on the couch. I pulled the blanket from under her and covered her up. I felt so tired so I sit on the floor and wait for her to wake up. As I leaned back to close my eyes she started to wake up. I hope she's ok. Once her eyes opened I prepared for her fear or anger.

''Are you ok?'' My heart is beating so hard I felt like it was going to explode. She sat up and looked around. ''Where are we? What happened?'' I pull up a chair and begin to explain. ''You fainted when I tried to explain who I was. So I picked you up and brought you to my house.'' She looked panicked. I wish I knew how to help her. ''Can I get you something to eat or drink?'' She nodded unable to speak. I brought her a glass of water and a sandwich which she ate as soon as I sat it down. ''Do you want me to continue to explain things?'' She nodded again.

''Ok.'' I take a deep breath to steady myself and begin. ''I was out for a run when I heard a scream. I ran so fast I didn't think I would miss from hitting the trees. Once I made it into the clearing I seen your house and smelled the blood. I cautiously walked forward. That's when I the heard the voices inside and what he was saying to you.'' My inner wolf growled remembering that night. ''I smashed through the door to see you bleeding and him coming at you. I growled to get him to look at me. When I seen you collapse I thought you was dead. I wound up killing him. Then went to check on your mom but she w...'' Cassie spoke with tears in her eyes, ''She was dead. My dad killed her and was going to kill me too. If it wasn't for you he would have. Thank you but I wish you would've let him.'' I was shocked by what she said that I felt like she had slapped me. It made me angry. ''Why would you say that?'' Cassie chocked back a sob. ''Because then I would be with my mom. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her.'' ''I'm so sorry Cassie but I couldn't let you die. My, our, pack has been looking for you and your mom for a long time.'' It felt so good to tell her she wasn't alone anymore.

Cassie's POV:

''I'm so sorry Cassie but I couldn't let you die. My, our, pack has been looking for you and your mom for a long time.'' What did he just say? ''What do you mean our pack? My father said his family killed my mom's pack." You could tell by the look on his face that made him mad. "He wishes they had. His family killed a hunting party but not the whole pack. Once your mom escaped we thought all hope was lost of the hunting party.'' I don't know what to say to say. This makes no sense. "My mother told me she ran away from a bad situation but never explained what. I thought I was alone this whole time." I could feel the tears running down my face. The joy was overwhelming. "So how many others are there?" He ran his hand through his hair. "You'll find out soon my brothers and sister will be home soon. They are probably worried since I didn't finish my meal." His smirk makes my heart skip a beat. I look down blushing. "What're you thinking about?'' he asked. I look up to see he'd moved closer to me. "Am I safe here?" He nodded. "They won't hurt you. They wouldn't dare cross me." That made me raise my eyebrows. "What's that suppose to mean?"

At that time the door opens two tall guys and a beautiful woman walk in. "Where were you? You had us worried." the girl said. Then they noticed me. I stood up ready to defend myself. Gabe put his hand on my arm. "This is Cassie the girl we've been looking for." They all stood there stunned. "How did you find her?" I looked at the guy that just spoke with curious eyes. "I'm Derek, Gabriel's brother." He pointed at the other guy and said, "That's Paul and next to him is our sister Ashley." Paul and Ashley waved. Ashley was the first to talk to me. "How do you feel? What all has Gabe told you?" Gabe gave her a look that he thought I didn't see. I answered, "I'm a little overwhelmed to be honest. He was telling me about the pack." Ashley shot me a glare. "Its not his place to talk about the pack. Our alpha will to meet you and talk to you, if that's ok." I nodded.
