Discourteous
What a wonderful morning here in Korea, I could smell the natural and fresh air as I'm walking on the left side of the footpath. I'm holding my sketchpad while my bag was slung on my right shoulder. I'm excited that I could feel my overflowing energy inside me and anytime soon, it'll trigger to rupture and be activated. Well, I always have this lively energy within me. I always want to make people happy and I'm quite boisterous. Geez. By the way, this is my final year in college at Seoul University. I'm just an exchange student and I'm taking Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Marketing. Originally, I'm from San Francisco, California but I can speak Korean as well because my parents used to talk to us in that language every now and then. I have my own apartment unit which my dad gave me as a gift, he gave one of the biggest and luxurious units. He owns apartment buildings, it's one of his businesses. He's sumptuously rich, indeed, our family. Back to my liking, I really like Fashion. Any old or popular style especially in clothing, accessories and makeup. The main reason why I like it is because of its distinctive and often persistent trend in the style which people dresses. I want to make newest creation that'll definitely hit around the world. Comfortable, simple but inconspicuously elegant, new but has sense of familiarity to the people. That's my style and I will work hard to achieve it. I was out of my trance when someone bumped on me and we stumbled on the walking trail, she came out running from one of the apartment buildings on my way. My face scrunched up and I felt a sting on my palm, I think I got a bruise. I looked at the person and it was a petite girl. She quickly stood up and dusted her pants. She has a long black hair with white smooth skin. Her skin was very light as if the sun rays always fail to reach it and as if she has no blood at all. I didn't know that vampires do exist. She didn't have any makeup, she looked pale but still, attractive. She gave a hand to me and I took it, she helped me to stand as she took my sketchpad then gave it back to me. After that she just bowed and left me without saying a word. I'm affable girl and it flabbergasted me. She didn't even apologize, that's kinda rude of her but I won't let her ruin my lovely morning so I will just shrug it off. Besides, she's really beautiful. I'm not being defensive but I just complimented her, nothing more. Duh.. I just appreciated it! I slightly fixed my dress again and continued my trek to Babeans Coffee shop where I'm going to meet my best friend Yuri. Yuri and I were best friends since diapers because of our families. She's like a sister to me and she's always by my side but when we reached college, she moved here in Korea to study. And after few years, finally, I will meet her again. Yuri was the complete opposite of me. We have disparate personalities. She's known as a player, she didn't like school and just a happy-go-lucky girl so that means I'm her opposing version. But in spite of that, we're really close to each other and I'm so pumped up to see my very best friend today. I could see Babeans' sign so I sprinted to go inside the coffee shop. I toured my inquisitive eyes but unluckily, there's no Kwon Yuri. I sighed, what do I expect? Yuri's tardy as always. I walked at the counter to order my favorite coffee and the barista said that it will be served. I paid and thanked her then I sat at the spot near the glass wall. As I waited for my coffee and tardy Yul, I stared outside looking at no particular thing. The girl's image instantly flashed on my mind as my brows snapped together. It was the girl who I bumped on my way here. Rude, discourteous, impolite. Those words were swarming in my head. "I hope not to see her again," I mumbled to myself. The barista came to me and served my order but as I looked up, s**t, speaking of the devil I saw the petite girl again. She gave my coffee with warm smile on her face, as she innocently looked at me. I froze and gawked because something changed on her demeanor. She's now wearing her light makeup and her hair was tied up in a messy bun as her stray hairs on her face were really appealing to me. "Oh... Um... T-thank you," I politely said as I gave my signature eye smile to her. Then again, she just bowed to me and left without talking a single word. It makes my heart burned, I hate it when people act careless with others. I don't get easily offended but it's the second time. Shiz, I'm not asking her to care about me but at least, respect me. I gazed at the girl as she walked back at the counter and I heard a familiar voice. "Oh gosh, someone's already got smitten by a cute little girl," a playful remark from none other than Yuri! My face brightened when I saw her, I stood up giving her a tight and long hug. I've missed her so much. "Yul, I missed you!!!" I squealed. Yuri pulled away to face me "I missed you too, biatch," she poked my nose. I'm so happy to see my best friend even though we didn't see each other for years, I felt like nothing changed. Same old as usual. "Sorry I'm late," she giggled. I lightly punched her shoulder "You always do, biatch," I quipped and sat again. Biatch was obviously came from the word b***h but that's really explicit. Biatch is our call sign, just biatch it is. "I will just order a coffee, be right back," she went to the counter. I'm glad there's no queue so after just a minute, Yuri came back holding a cup of coffee and she sat across the table facing me. "That girl is really cute," she's talking about the annoying rude girl. I rolled my eyes and glanced over the counter peeking at the girl. "Actually... I don't like her, she's not my type. I hate girls with bangs and she's rude," I complained then I sipped my coffee. Oh come on people, relax. I know what I said and yes, me and Yuri are into girls. That's one of the prime reasons why we hang out together and became best friends. We're both femmes that likes femmes too. Homophobic species, get lost. I don't care about your opinion and if you don't know what a femme is, so be it. I am my own self, is that a valid paradox? I date both girls and boys before but I stick with girls. I like girls. I like ravishing things. I love 'em and I love myself for that! I don't like boys because I've learned that they just want to get into my pants which was really aweful and disgusting. Our families knows about this, so we're like loud and proud. "You don't like her but your eyes can't get off of her. Ask her number and try something new biatch. Or you want me to take over her?" Yuri suggested and I glared at her. She didn't change a bit, always a player. I frowned taking pictures as Yuri hitting on that Barista, she's not my type but I can consider her because she got my interest. "Don't you dare touch her, biatch," I scoffed sipping my coffee. "Nah, you really like her? Thank god for that, I thought you'll be a spinster," Yuri chortled. I rolled my eyes. Spinster? I'm only twenty one. A guy called the barista and the latter walked over him, it caught our attention. Yuri and I both stared as the petite girl walked and swayed her hips. Damn sexy, I bit my lower lip trying to contain my dirty little desire. "Someone's drooling," Yuri teased with a smirk. I simply tapped the sides of my lips with tissue, glad that Yul didn't notice my subtle movements or she will gonna tease me more. We stared at the customer guy and he's protesting something in his coffee. The barista was just listening unwary to him while this prude guy kept ranting. I want to grip his neck and squeeze it till he die. The guy's words became louder and articulate as the whole place could hear it. Only few customers were here, I couldn't control my temper and I want to stitch his mouth so he would shut up. "What? Why you're not even talking?" The ungentleman guy barked. Truly, a dog he was. The barista flinched with his horsey voice, I mean hoarse voice. He didn't look like a horse more like, donkey. Ugly donkey. Perfect rhyme. Shiz, my bad. I didn't think that he's a human but compared him as animals because he acts like 'em. Sorry not sorry. The petite girl took the cup of coffee and bowed to the guy but the latter held her wrist. "He's really annoying, I think he's gay because he keeps talking like that... so loud," Yuri arched her brow as her eyes gazed hard at the guy. While me, I stared intently at his hand, it moves sensually to the girl's forearm. I stood up in reflex as my chair fluffed on the floor. I hissed. The girl accidentally slipped the cup to the guy so its content poured all over his white shirt and got him drenched. I smirked, serves him right. The guy stood and slapped the girl, I seethed with my burning chest, this scene was too much for me. The girl bowed down but still didn't talk, the other barista girl walked over to them. The guy lifted his arm again and its my cue to rush over them. I held the guy's wrist and twisted it from behind, he whimpered loudly. I hate his voice. "How dare you to slap a girl? And you're obviously harassing her with your filthy hand! You disrespectful douche!" I taunted and kept my grip behind him. "Ah!! Please... Let go of me!! Please..." He screamed in pain. I felt Yuri's hand on my shoulder "Let him go," she sternly said. My jaw clenched but I let him go, he quickly retreated himself and faced me. "What's your problem?" He asked rudely to me. "You are my problem! You will get out of here or I will f*cking beat the s**t out of you!" I cussed because he pushed my limits. F*cking i***t. The guy was taken aback as he looked at me, he's scared as me and Yul glared at him. Not only us but all people in the coffee shop. He stepped back, grunted then ran out of the place because of embarrassment. I blew a loud sigh as I looked at the petite girl, her head still down. "Thank you ma'am for helping her," the other barista said. I read her nametag, it's Jessica. The petite girl bowed to me few times and left again without saying anything. I puffed my cheeks as my forehead creased. "She didn't even thank me," I muttered frustratingly. Jessica heard it "Sorry ma'am but she don't speak." "Huh? She's mute?" Yuri asked. "Sort of. She just don't want to speak, she can't anymore," Jessica explained. Now, all the negative feelings toward the petite girl were eliminated from my chest and my curiosity raised. I want to know her. "So... Jessica are you single? Can I take you out on a date?" Yuri cockily asked. My shoulder slumped down as I looked at her, bored and uninterested. "Sorry but I can't leave the shop," Jessica smiled apologetically. She's nice, I guess. "I can talk to your boss or I can pay for your compensation," Yuri bluntly said. Wrong words Yul, too much cockiness. Jessica raised her eyebrows "Sorry but I really can't and to inform you ma'am, I am the boss here and I own this shop," she politely bowed and left us standing. I know it's not her intention to brag it. Maybe Yul just pushed her to. Yuri slightly jaw dropped and she was speechless. At last, she found her match now, good for her. Yuri huffed and rolled her eyes, she has so much pride. I know, she was pissed. And about the petite girl, as I said, I want to know her. It's just today that we bumped, I saw her here at Babeans then she invaded my mind. But it's a good thing, I know, it's not just coincidence. *****
