PRETENDING To Be Her BOYFRIEND

Chapter 12

Nathan stood in his wolf form in the dark night with Henri beside him, the both of them have traced Juan up to this point with nothing else to lead them and stood confused.

The fact that Juan is staying in this forest because caring to return cause them to worry that someone might be scheming something against the pack.

Nathan has no idea if Juan is also a werewolf but he definitely doesn't belong in his pack, Augustus has checked with everyone that belongs in the pack and no one has an idea about the pendant.

"Why don't we leave now?" Henri suggested transforming back to his human form.

"Let's wait here for a few minutes" Nathan responded also transforming back and the two finds their way to the top of a tree to get a more clear view of the forest.

They heard a loud groans as they wait and the both of them are immediately alerted, they got down and Henri traced where the sound of the noise is coming from and they head towards it.

The noise becomes clearer but before they could get to the door a few feet away they are ambushed by a giant wolf who attacked them ferociously

Stunned, Nathan and Henri immediately fights back but they are surrounded by a large number of wolves.

Seems like they are from a small pack.

Henri transformed into his huge wolf form ready to attack them but then a very bright light is flashed in his way and he suddenly starts to feel weak and unable to use any of his strength or powers.

He groans out aloud trying to fight off the light but is unable to, not affected by the light, Nathan charged forward and begin to fight the predators not very much affected by the light and fights off a number of them

"Shh"

Nathan stopped hearing a loud shout of pain from Henri and quickly turn around to see that he is captured, they all had a mask on so he is unable to sew or recognize their faces.

"Let him go" Nathan said transforming back

"Why should I?" A voice behind the light responded and Nathan felt like he has heard that voice before.

"You came into our forest to fight us first" the same voice said and he realized that he is mistaken

"We are sorry for intruding your forest, let my friends go and we will leave" he told them but he laughed instead.

"Let him go" he said and they let go of Henri.

He scurried over to Nathan's side and they are disappeared into the dark as fast as they can, the light also faded and everywhere becomes dark.

"Alpha Nathan" Henri called groaning in pain.

"Let's get out of here first" Nathan said cutting him off and they left to return to the house...

"The Alpha will definitely suspect you after today, you shouldn't have used the pendant to fight against him" Mary said to her master after healing herself

"The alpha is already suspicious of our plan before today, we will to speed up the process and find out where Juan kept the other half of the pendant" he said.

"I have searched everywhere and still can't find it, I am sure he didn't keep it somewhere we don’t know or the alpha would have gotten his hands on it a long time ago" Mary answered.

"I know Juan so well, he always keep things that are important very close. Let us start with Val and see if we can find out anything" he told her not convinced.

"Valentino is under the protection of the alpha for now, we can't act rashly or it will ruin everything" Mary tries to dissuade him.

“Then it might be time to reveal his fake identity to her”

Knowing how much she loves Juan findings out someone is impersonating him will surely sow discord between them.

“She will come to me when she finds out to seek advise” he added and exit into the dark night.

Valentino returned from the set and stops at Juan's place to pick up a few things, she has been feeling strange for a few days now and couldn't help but feel that something is wrong.

She entered inside the room and is shocked to find a cloth full of blood on the floor, she screamed scared and look around the room to find him.

Nathan hurried out of the bathroom barely managing to put on his towel before rushing out to her.

"Juan" Valentino called and rush to see where he is hurt but finds no wound on his body and stare at him curiously

“What happened? Did you get hurt?” she questioned terribly concerned but he quickly reassured her that he is fine.

"I am okay, just a little cut" he lied and hugged her to relieve her fears

He has forgotten that she knows the pass code to his place and didn't clean up the room before going to take a bath so he quickly come up with a good explanation to give.

"How did you get this injury?" She asked again when she is calm.

“I cut my finger while trying to cook some food earlier” he answered

“Really?” she said staring at the shirt and comparing the amount of blood to a simple cut from cooking

"How could you go into the shower when you know you are injured? What if the injury gets worse because of your carelessness" she scolded and went to get the first aid box but finds no cut on his finger.

“Actually I took care of it” Nathan quickly withdraw his hand and held hers in his.

“I don’t have to worry always about me, I’m fine” he told her and put her in a hug as he exhale softly.

Val finds his words and reaction strange but decide not to probe further and believe what he just said and hopes he is not in some kind of trouble but aside that she is more disturbed about something else

She acted like she doesn't remember anything about the night she shared together with him afraid because of his reaction the first time he saw her shift like that he freaked out and won’t come close to her for a while but he reacted differently now

Not only was he not afraid of her but he took care of her wound and even made love to her.…

“You continue your business now, I will things the things I need and leave” she told him and take a glance at his wrist as he pull away then grabs it again.

Valentino widen her eyes as she stare at his hand and wonder where the scar he got when they were still little has disappeared to, she clearly remember seeing it the last time…

“What is wrong?” Nathan asked clueless and also stare at his hand to see what is so surprising about it.

“It’s nothing, I just thought you used to have a scar right about here” she told him touching the exact spot the scar use to be and Nathan gasp slowly.

“I went to the hospital and asked for the scar to be removed” he told her and she smiles awkwardly nodding her head.

He always brag about how the scar will be a symbol of his childhood experience at the orphanage and reveal to do something about it.

“I will go now” Val stood up fast from the bed believing she is just overthinking these things and probably reading too much meaning into his actions.

Her phone beep severally to notify her of messages from Juan’s official fan group and she whip the phone out of her pocket and checks what the fuss is about.

"Juan Augustus is fake"

The first text she come across reads and Valentino almost drop her phone

"What nonsense is this?" She muttered and scroll down her screen to read further.

Juan's craziest fan, called Juan’s heartbeat seemed to be claiming that the new Juan currently acting in the new movie isn't the old Juan she knows because of the difference in his actions.

Valentino continues to read and finds a lot of people agreeing with that fact but they are equally happy because he is doing well with the new project and proclaim more love for him.

She left a message also to show her support and turn off her phone, the necklace on her neck slip to the ground at that moment and she pick it up.

The green object on the necklace shines brightly for two second like it is attracted to something and then turn off, Valentino fix it back around her neck and hide it under her shirt not seeing the light
