Nathan Blake silently inserted the duplicate key he made into the keyhole and sneaked into the house quietly, without taking in his surroundings, he hurried towards the bedroom to search for the pendant. "Thud!" He crashed into someone and was startled. He watched her fall on her buttocks and writhe in pain for a few seconds before raising her head to look at him. There seemed to be more than two people, so he moved closer to the window to have a look Valentino also followed suits and saw that it was the reporters and media; she panicked seeing a large number of them coming towards the house and turned to Nathan. “Juan you have to hide yourself quickly before the reporters sees you” Valentino Woods said worried and grab him by the hand then pulls him into another room. She locks the door and goes away to attend to the media for a few minutes and return soon after managing to send them off Nathan studied her as she returns and could tell that she is not pretending with her words and action or trying to get closer to him but is still very confused as to why she would mistook him for someone else without a doubt “Where have you been? Everyone has been so worried, I thought something bad happened…” she scolded but her words felt like she is more concerned than angry “Do you know who I am?” Nathan asked interrupting her ‘Huh?’ She seems lost so he repeats his words again “Don’t you think you are speaking to the wrong person?” he said again wondering if she is also here to steal something. According to the information he received, only one person lives here and he is definitely not a woman. Valentino stood stupefied and speechless for a few minutes before reaching her hand out to check his temperature and asked him the funniest question he has ever heard “Are you ill?” she asked repeating the gesture of checking his temperature again “What do you mean I am speaking with the wrong person?” she said and glance at a picture on the wall then turned to him again Nathan’s eyes also followed in the direction she just looked and is stupefied to see his pictures on the wall. He turned around slowly in awe of the numerous pictures on the wall which he failed to notice before and saw a small graduation picture which also looks exactly like him when he was at that age He is speechless as he checks the pictures and is still shocked as to how someone else looks a lot like him when he heard his wolf whispering something to him ‘The pendant’ In that moment Nathan remember the reason why he is here in this house in the first place and stood up from the bed then match out of the room. He had left his duties and businesses to come here and seek out the pendant himself and bring it back before it gets exposed and brings harm to his pack. Valentino ran after him in an attempt to stop him thinking he must have lost his mind; she grabbed his clothes and pulled him back Nathan halt to shove her away and leave from there quickly before she finds out he is not the person she is looking for but he heard sniffs behind him and turn to see the tears in her eyes He noticed for the first time that her eyes is swollen up with tears and she seems really sad Nathan's heart soften at that moment and for the first time, he felt compassion for a woman instead of being irritated He gently moved her hands away from his shirt and felt a need to comfort her but doesn't know how to, after all he is not the person she thought his is and has never cared for any woman before "Do you really want to end our relationship so badly? Is that why you changed your hairstyle too” she asked staring clueless at him. “Of course not, I just wanted to try something new for a change" he responded trying to play along Valentino looked at him puzzled for a second then she gently hit his forehead and smiled. ‘Her smile is beautiful’ Nathan almost spill out the word beautiful to her but stopped himself and restrained himself from smiling back "So you are done pretending?" She asked and he nodded and she took a step back "Then you must be ready to explain where you disappeared to for the last one week, everyone was so worried about you" she said and Nathan became lost again "What do you mean disappeared? I am right here" he answered "Are you playing dumb with me? You disappeared right after asking me to break up with you" she said and as Nathan crack his head for an explanation the news from the television distract them and they turned to listen. ‘Fans are curious and worried about the sudden absence of Juan Augustus from his regular TV show three days ago and the fact that he has missed his regular live stream…” Nathan turned away not listening to the rest and quickly add up the few details he just got, apparently whoever Juan is has been missing for a few days. More pictures of him is shown on the television and Nathan could swear they are his pictures except the fact that the hairstyle isn't like him He wondered why he didn't get this information from Jonas his beta before leaving or maybe he was so focused on other things and didn't pay attention to it “You must be my girlfriend" he said to Valentino who nodded to confirm his words. She picked the call and move away to answer it, Nathan could hear faintly what the other person is telling her on the phone then he heard her tell whoever it is about him. “He is back in the house and everything seems alright with him, I will wait for you to get here" she told the other person and end the call “Mr. Winslow is coming over with your manager” she informed him, and he just nodded, immediately thinking of a way out.
