PRETENDING To Be Her BOYFRIEND

Episode 8

Nathan looked around the orphanage where Juan grew up with Valentino and couldn’t find anything strange; everyone at the orphanage also seems to think he is Juan and greets him warmly.

“You are here early today, I already asked the kids to go get dressed and come over later” Miss Mary come up to inform him and walk away again

“Why are you acting so strange today? You won’t even speak to anyone” Valentino whispered to him and got called away by one of the nurses.

The event soon started and Winslow sent Stella to come over and gift the kids with a lot of toys and clothes including food.

Nathan stood up to address the kids and take pictures with them when one of the kids step forward angrily and pushed him

“Stephanie what’s wrong?” Miss Mary whispered to her and apologized to Nathan but she didn’t feel sober for her action and point at Nathan.

“You are not Juan” she alleged and everyone turned to him

Stephanie is seventeen years old and has been a fan of Juan since he debuted.

“What are you talking about?”

“Juan doesn’t eat fish because he is allergy to it but you gladly took it earlier when that little girl offered it to you” she said and everyone turned to Nathan again

“Stephanie, I am sure you must be mistaken” Valentino said and immediately pull her away before she cause more trouble…

“Anthony” Miss Mary called him to another room after the event to discuss with him

“Have you sorted out the issues you talked about the last time?’ she asked and Nathan nodded.

“This place is your home; you can always come back whenever you feel pressured. I will continue to pray for you” she said and hugged him for a few seconds then pull back.

…

“Did you find anything?” Jonas asked Nathan later in the night

“No I didn’t find anything useful, no one there could us apart also” he answered and sighed worried about Mary’s words earlier

“Maybe she is in the best position to help us find out why he has disappeared” Jonas said but Nathan quickly discard his thoughts.

“We can’t do that or she will suspect me”

“Then we are left with no option again”

“What did you find on your side?” Nathan asked

“I am unable to find anything useful but I learned that his mother died of cancer, I am going to investigate him from there and see if I will find something” he answered and end the call

“Are you feeling better now?” Nathan queried as he comes inside and found Valentino holding a cup of coffee and staring at the stars.

“I didn’t realize you are done, will you like one?” she asked but he decline and sat next to her.

“It’s happens once every month and I just can’t get a clear view of the face” she said enplaning the dream to him.

“Are you not curious to know?”

“I don’t want to” Valentino answered quickly turning to him, all she wants is to forget everything about her past and have a happy life with him.

“As long as you are right next to me then nothing else matters” she said and lean close to rest her head on his shoulders.

“Hmm” Nathan could only murmur knowing he won’t be here with her much longer, he only need to find what is important to him and leave soon to his world to continue living as the alpha.

“Where do you want to go next week?” Valentino asked and he paused for a few seconds before answering her

“A restaurant maybe” he has read in the bio Henri gave to him and found out Juan’s birthday is in a few days and knows she is asking about that.

“You are finally willing to celebrate your birthday?” Valentino said puzzled that he wants to spend the day together.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s good you are willing to move on now” Valentino shrugged ignoring his question and place her head on his shoulders again but is unsettled.

His birthday is also the day he lost his mother and has always loathe the day, whenever she asked to celebrate with him he always refuse and prefer to visit his mother instead.

Valentino finds Nathan’s answer strange and thought back on Stephanie’s words back at the orphanage, she has also noticed that he eats steak more and less of vegetables.

“I love you” she said instead of voicing her thoughts and Nathan kissed her on her forehead instead of saying the same back to her.

“Are you going to keep the fact that someone else is impersonating him a secret?” Mary asked transforming back to her human form and hand over her hunt to him

“We can’t tell him that now, he is not in control of his abilities yet” the other person replied taking the human prey and dragged inside to serve to a chaotic Juan inside the room.

“Were you able to tell their difference after meeting the alpha today?”

“The alpha’s temperance is sure notable but aside from that and the fact that he doesn’t know the truth about Juan’s story everything is perfect” Mary answered and remembered how strange she felt when she hugged him earlier but decide to discard the feeling.

“Alpha Nathan isn’t to be underestimated, it is only a matter of time before he finds out” Mary warned but he doesn’t look threatened by him.

“I need time for him to fully take on the power so he can fulfill my plans, I will keep an eye on the alpha for now and make he finds nothing” he replied and heard grunts from Juan inside as he devours his prey.

“I really didn’t expect the alpha to travel down here himself; he has made my work easier by coming to my den. We just have to make sure he doesn’t return back before replacing him” he said grinning

“Bring more prey tomorrow, I need him to be able to do something for me in a few days from now and make sure to keep an eye on Valentino” he added and Mary took a bow then transformed back and disappeared into the night.
