"I said I don't want to break up with you" he repeated but she sneer like she had just heard a funny joke and turned to leave
"You must have said the opposite to Stella while having s*x with her" she shouted angrily
Nathan heaved annoyed that he has to clean up the mess Juan made and tried to picture Juan's face in his head but end up picturing his.
Although he couldn't care less about how much she is hurting right now but like Henri said, she might helped them to achieve their goal quickly and also the fact that she is seeing him as the jerk instead infuriates him
"You have no explanation to give" Valentino asked expecting him to deny his relationship with Stella or even tried to assure her that it's not true
"You bastard" she cursed and shakes her head disheveled slowly sliding to the floor in tears.
Nathan grabbed her hand to lift her up before her body hits the floor and pull her up into his arms staring deeply at her.
"I didn't sleep with her" He voiced and Valentino refused to believe him but the sincere looks in his eyes made her realize he is not lying.
"Liar" she muttered
"She said that you did"
"I swear to you I have never slept with any other woman" Nathan affirmed to her making her calm down slowly
"She is mistaken, I have nothing to do with her nor will I ever do" Nathan added and watched her expression changed drastically
His eyes stare into hers and she could feel that he isn't lying but she is still reluctant about trusting him
"I promise" Nathan said not knowing when the words flowed from his lips.
Valentino's face round up in a smile and she throws her hands around his neck hugging him tightly.
Nathan held back from hugging her expecting to get that irritated feeling within him but nothing happened for the next five seconds so he slowly slip his hands under her waist and hug her in return.
Her heartbeat against his chest, and he felt peaceful within, the sensation of his body burning is immediately replaced to that of cool water being poured on him, and his body relaxed in her arms.
"Let's leave from here" Valentino said calling his consciousness back and they walk out hand in hand to the parking lot where Henri is waiting for him.
"Master" Henri called surprised to see them working hand in hand so soon.
Counting on the kind of person his master is, it should probably take a few years before he will get that close to a woman
"Let's leave here” Nathan said stopping him from saying whatever it is he had to say and entered the car together with Valentino
Stella rushed towards the car before Henri could get in and opened the door in anger ready to hit Valentino but Nathan immediately stopped her
"Juan!" She yelled his name
"Watch yourself” Nathan warned and made Valentino sit further inside
"Do you even know what you are doing right now? You are digging a grave for yourself" she yelled pissed
"I don't need you to worry about that" he replied
"Get in" Nathan instruct Henri who immediately hop in and drive away as fast as possible leaving Stella stomping her feet in anger.
The ride to the house was silent except a gentle snore from Valentino who immediately fell into a slumber in a few minutes and didn't wake up till they arrive at the house
"Do you want me to wake her up?" Henri queried
"I will take her in” Nathan answered and carried her in his arms letting Henri lead the way in
It's the first time he would see his master behave so gentle with a woman and even let her lean in his body without flinching which made Henri wonder what kind of woman Valentino is.
Since Nathan doesn't feel comfortable staying in another person's bed, he had ordered Jonas to get him new bedding to put in another room in the house and use that one
Instead of letting Valentino rest on Juan's bed since she is already familiar with the space, he changed his mind and put her in his own bed instead then stuck her in and left the room quietly.
"Master we have an issue, what happened at the reading earlier has been posted on different forum" Henri called and showed him a blog scolding him for insulting Irene
"Master, did you really say all these things?" Henri questioned in awe and scrolls down to find more articles
"Miss Irene seems to have pulled her investment out" he said shocked by how fast the issue is being blown up
"Is she very rich?" Nathan asked taking a seat not disturbed by whatever trouble he has caused for Juan.
It will be best if this ends his career anyways then he wouldn't have to bother about taking care of his business for him and focus on his own issues.
"Seems like it's her boyfriend pulling the money" Henri answered surprised that his boss is calm
"Winslow is calling you" Henri said afraid but Nathan cuts the call and throws the phone away on the sofa.
"What are we going to do about this?" Henri asked restless
"Nothing, he doesn't deserve what he has anyways" Nathan replied
"What about Miss Valentino, she is going to be very sad and feel guilty when she gets to know about this" Henri said and that seems to get his attention
"According to my findings, she is the one who helped him start his career and paved the way for him to become so popular today even neglecting her own dreams" Henri revealed and sat down beside him
"If this leads to the end of his career then won't all her efforts and sacrifices be in vain?" Henri continued and Nathan became tensed at the thought of that
"He is really useless” Nathan muttered upset to know that someone who shares a striking resemblance to him is so shameless that he had to use a woman to succeed
"I will think of something tomorrow" he sighed closing his tired eyes
"What if..." Henri stopped and sprang to his feet as he saw Valentino walked in

"What are you two talking about?"Valentino queried
"It's nothing” Nathan answered also standing to his feet
"Why are you so surprised then?"
"I thought you were fast asleep” he said to change the topic
"I woke up because I was hungry and needed to eat something"
"Do you have anything I can quickly prepare for the three of us?" She asked walking over to the kitchen and found nothing edible to eat inside and returned to them.
"Get us some food to eat" Nathan said to Henri who raised his brows.
“I will just get some foodstuff from the store and prepare something fast, I don't want to eat from the restaurants" she declined and Henri is relieved
"Go and get her the foodstuff" Nathan said again leaving him speechless
He is a gamma not an errand boy, Henri can't believe his master will make him run such chores just to satisfy a woman.
"Master" he tried to complain but Nathan brush him off
"I will write you a list of things to get, just make sure it's enough for the three of us” Valentino said oblivious to his complaints
"You don't have to bother about him, just make enough for the two of us" Nathan told her and she nods happily then goes to write out the list
Henri frown while waiting for the list feeling cheated that his master cares more about a woman he just met to him, he took the list from Valentino after she returned and went to get it.
Valentino goes to Nathan's side and pull him down to take a seat with her, she place her hand over his while staring into his eyes tenderly
"Have you seen the news posted online? I keep getting calls from Winslow" she asked and Nathan realized that she sent Henri away on purpose
"I have seen them" he answered taking her hands in his and gently caresses it
"You don't have to worry about it, I will take care of everything" he assured her but Valentino doesn't seem convinced
"Winslow already has a solution and wants us to come to him in the morning" she begun but Nathan interrupted her right away.
"You don't have to listen to whatever he or Stella says, I will handle everything" he assured her again.
"Are you really Juan?" She asked taking him off guard.
"What do you mean?"
“Observing you closely like this, it appears like you have undergone significant change since you return” she remarked, bending her head to examine his face in more detail.
"You think so?" Nathan stuttered as she gets so close to him wondering if she has found out anything.
There is no way she will figure out that an alpha from a different continent somewhere in the world looks like her boyfriend and is impersonating him.
"You also held my hands in front of everyone” she answered blushing and Nathan sighed relieved
"I am your boyfriend after all" he replied her and she pulled away
"Are you sure this will not jeopardize your career? I am willing to keep our relationship a secret from others and apologize to Irene” she said and he could not be more dissatisfied with her words
He finds it hard to believe a woman would love another person to such an extent, that she would be willing to sacrifice a lot and not think about herself.
"I am not that kind of a man" he said to her, Valentino smiled and lean forward to rest her head on his shoulders.
"You remember the pendant I bought in an auction few months back" Nathan opened up after a minute.
"What about it?"
"Do you remember where I kept it? I can't seem to find it after returning back" he asked trying to be meticulous about it.
"You must have left it in the attic upstairs, you wouldn't even let me touch it" she answered not suspecting anything
"I must have kept it there without remembering it" Nathan quickly end the topic surprised that he didn't find out about the attic in the house
Henri returned with the foodstuff in a few minutes and leaves the two of them to be as he is being called back to the office by Winslow.
