PRETENDING To Be Her BOYFRIEND

Episode 3

Unable to fall asleep in a strange place, Nathan stood up from the bed and picked some cigarette from the drawer he searched earlier

He took a step outside to the balcony and light one of the sticks, he finished it in no time and smoked one after another feeling unsettled

He took out his phone after finishing the fourth stick to check his messages, as expected there are a lot from Doris and also the sage and some other work related messages

Nathan took his time to reply to the important ones and left the rest unattended to as he took another stick and realize the day is almost break.

He went back inside and turned on the lights taking a scroll in the house to familiarize himself with it as he might have to stay for a few days before getting his hands on what he wants.

The disappearance of Juan and the pendant just a few days after he posted a video about it online seems suspicious and it might not be as simple as he thinks and message Jonas to look into it.

Nathan sighed and takes a seat then fell asleep without knowing it

“Master” Nathan heard someone call and opened his drowsy eyes

“You are?” He questioned getting up from the chair and placed his hands in his pocket

“I am Chubby your assistant” he answered and bowed his head to greet him

“You are welcome” Nathan said and head into the bathroom

He changed into new sets of clothes Jonas ordered for him last night and exit the house together with Chubby

“Where are we going to?” Nathan asked realizing that he is unaware of his schedule

“Stella asked me to bring you for the press conference at the company” he answered

“Press conference?”

“Yes master, she didn’t tell you about it?” Chubby asked surprised

“Why do you keep calling me master, just call me by my name” Nathan said getting frustrated

He can’t believe he has to pretend like someone else and attend press conference on his behalf

When he finds the pendant and decide to leave then they will have to start looking for him all over again

“We are here” Chubby informed him and opened the door before going to park the car in the parking lot…

“First, we will like to apologize to everyone for the trouble we have caused every fan and everyone out there who continually support us. We assure you that Juan just took a few days off to rest…”

Nathan stands beside Stella as she address the media not impressed by their supposed explanation, after Stella finished her speech many of the reporters stood up to ask questions but it was quickly turned down

Nevertheless, someone stood up among the crowd and speak up

“Mr. Juan, don’t you think you owe everyone an explanation?”

Nathan move his hands slowly away from his pocket hearing her question and looked at Stella not sure if he should answer or not

“I wanted to take a rest from work for a few days and didn’t expect that things will turn out this way” he explained hoping it is convincing enough

“Then you must have seen the news online, why didn’t you call or message to tell your agency you are fine?"

“I lost my phone and just got a new one so I couldn't contact anyone soon, I apologize for the troubles" Nathan immediately answered

“We won’t take any more questions here, we will send our utmost apologies to everyone soon and answer other questions through our PR team"Stella chipped in stopping them from asking further questions and pull Nathan along with her to leave through the back door

“Did Valentino return to your place after we were gone?” Stella questioned when they are away from everyone

“Yes she did” Nathan answered and heard her smirk

“She really doesn't learn her lesson"she said and stopped the bodyguards following them including Chubby asking them to wait outside while she went in with Nathan

"You changed your hairstyle, I love this one better"Stella tone changed when they got in, she lean in closer to him and place her hands on his shoulders to kiss him

“What are you trying to do?” Nathan questioned taken aback by the sudden closeness

He felt even more irritated with her than every other woman that has tried to get in his pants and push her away roughly

"You..." Stella is surprised but quickly regains her composure then smiles evilly

"Are you trying to abandon me after what we shared? Aren't you afraid that I will reveal your true relationship with that fool and ruin your life?" She threatened but Nathan isn't fazed by her threats rather he felt more disgusted by her and Juan.

A faint sneer of satisfaction appeared on Stella's face when she saw that he is quiet, she of all people knows Valentino is his weak point and she always managed to keep him in check because of her

"I don't sleep with dirty women" Nathan replied to her in a few seconds and turned to leave but comes face to face with Valentino holding the door.

"I called her here" Stella said with a self-satisfied smirk on her face expecting a breakdown from Valentino.

“You slept with her?”Valentino asked shakily and staggered further into the room

Tears fall from her distraught face and she places a hand over her mouth to stop herself from crying out loud

"I can see you still believe in your relationship, we not only have s*x but we also plan to continue being together" Stella respond to her

"Juan please answer me” Valentino cried

"What do you expect him to say? You should know your place at the bottom and stay there" Stella taunt her

"How can you do this to me?"Valentino said disappointed and ran out of the room in tears bumping into Chubby who made his way in.

Nathan heaved silently not sure if he should go after her or not, after all he is pretending to be her jerk of a boyfriend currently

"I will instruct the artist to come and get your makeup done so you can get ready for your next schedule" Stella said seeing that someone else is in the room and went away

“Master, how come you already made two women fight over you in just a day?" Chubby asked giggling

"Stop calling me..." Nathan paused realizing something

"It's me, Henri” Chubby said revealing his true looks

“The sage sent me to wait on you after getting the report that you will be here for a while" he told him

Henri hails from the lineage of alpha protectors and serves them, with the shape shifting ability to transform his looks to fit anyone or anything he had to pretend to be the new assistant hired to get close to him.

Nathan turned away from him to take a seat and he hurried to him to massage his temples, Nathan questioned him on how the old prick got to know about the situation of things so soon and Henri explained to him

The sage was the one who insisted that he find the pendant even when it's not possible for anyone to use it without having the knowledge about its power and sent him here.

“Make sure to keep Doris in check” Nathan told Henri worried that she might try to act as the Luna because he is away

“I will have someone take care of that” Henri affirmed to him and quickly informed him about his findings on Juan

"Since you are unable to find the pendant in the house, I believe he must have taken it with him" Henri told him

"Tell me about his relationship with Valentino and people in this company" Nathan demanded

"Valentino Woods is his childhood sister who grew up together with him at an orphanage where he is adopted by the CEO of this company Winslow, they started dating four years ago after he debuted as an actor" Henri recounted

“I don’t need all the details about her, I just need information that will help locate Juan, I think his disappearance is rather too strange”

"Valentino is the only person who has known him longer than anyone else, if there is anyone that will help us get to him faster then it's her" Henri quickly added

“So I have to keep her close?" He frowned loathing the thoughts of having to play a lover's character to get what he needs; he is already playing a jerk's character

“Don’t worry about that, I can try to get closer to her using your face and get details from her" Henri offered but that seems more displeasing to Nathan

“There is no need for that, I don't want someone else doing disgusting things with my face" he rejected

"I will handle it myself"

“I don’t think it will be easy with what she just witnessed, how about this? I kidnap her and get her to talk" Henri suggested again and Nathan glare at him

"Shut your mouth" he ordered and he place his hand over his mouth immediately

"What about Stella?"

"Their relationship seems to be that of a manager and artist generally but I guess it isn't" Henri answered

"Also, he doesn't seem to have a close relationship with anyone else..."

"Keep the other information till I need them" Nathan cut him off as others joined them in the room and starts to work on his face.
