Book 1- Chapter 1
Third Person POV
It was a dark chilly night where the moon was at the highest peak and full. The only thing anybody could see was the moon as they walked, but nobody dared to go out at the dark night time besides one person and she didn't fear anything.
That little girl didn't care for what the forest or anything else brought to her because back home was more than enough fear for her. Her name is Rachel Molly Johnson and she was none other than the 'bad girl' of her town and school.
Nobody knew why she was so bad all the time or why she always wore 'bad girl' clothes as they call it. They could see all the bruises, but she would say she got into a fight with some rich kid in other towns close by when she went to visit as she had family in other towns close by.
Nobody knew the abusie that went on in her own home. Nobody cared to know who Rachel Molly Johnson really was behind the cold unforgiving demeanor.
Nobody cared to even get to know her as she was the bad girl and nobody wanted to get close to that kind of person besides her friends; her gang; her family; The Snake Gang.
That was until one night they left her for dead to be eaten alive by the wolves of the night. They thought she had betrayed them, but they were the ones who betrayed her.
Of course she didn't care as she was close to death and she didn't care for that as she allowed it the second she knew she was going to die. Rachel didn't fight the only people she ever cared about; she didn't speak to them; nor did she even whimper to them as she allowed them to beat her down and leave her for dead.
Once she felt the ground she allowed the darkness to come for her. She thought that death would all be bad and that it would be an easy go, but death wasn't all that cracked up to be.
It was dark, lonely, and comfortable. She didn't know if this was real death or border line, but she allowed it as the bright light kept coming for her. Rachel never feared anything but her family back home and if she survives then she will definitely either be coming home with death on her or in a bodybag either one would be good for her family.
They rather see her dead and that is what she wanted since she turned ten; seven years back is a long time. She laid there for what felt like hours. She didn't feel when someone bit her or when someone picked her up. She didn't feel as if she was laid into a soft bed, but she did feel safe.
Rachel felt safe and that was bad. She never trusts when it feels safe because it is the calm before the storm. She felt a soft cushion below her which didn’t make sense because she was supposed to be dead and you can’t feel anything like that.
“Why would you do this?” A voice asked.
She knew she wasn’t hearing things because she was dead.
“She was halfway dead!” Another voice whispered, yelled.
“She is a weak human!” The other voice whispered, yelled.
“You didn’t see what I saw.” The second voice whispered.
“She will not be able to be anything higher than a Beta.” The first voice hissed.
“You do not know what we saw for us to do this.” The second hissed back.
“She is weak and we need a strong Luna.” The first whispered.
“What like you?” The second one asked.
“I mean I am a warrior and stronger than everybody here.” The voice said smugly.
Rachel hated people who think because they look stronger then others they are stronger than others. Rachel decided then that she would wake up because she wasn’t supposed to be hearing people talk in heaven.
“She will not please or do what the Alpha wants. She is a weak human who needs to be put down.” The first voice said.
Rachel concluded that the first voice was a female.
“You do not know her nor can you judge people based on what you see or smell.” The second voice said.
Rachel concluded the second voice was a male, but she kept thinking who these people were and why they kept saying Alpha, Beta, and Luna. She wanted to know the truth because she feared what she thought she knew.
She’s seen too many werewolf or vampire movies to know what they were talking about and she reads books of supernaturals all the time. She didn’t think they were real though.
‘We are a Lycan Hybrid.’ A voice told her.
