Chapter 15

Ryder’s POV

I sighed as I just wanted her back, but she hasn’t told us anything for a couple hours. She hasn’t called us or linked us if she was okay and I was getting worried.

Of course I f****d up, but she didn’t have to leave us like this. My wolf is mad at me, but understands that we didn’t want to harm a female.

Before my father had claimed me and my mother after he rejected her when they conceived me; I was with my mother and watched her get beat up by her boyfriends.

I promised myself and her that I will never cause a female harm on purpose and I’ve gone by that promise for years until of course the other day when I dropped my ex on accident.

I told my mom and she said it was fine that it wasn’t my fault as my mate was standing in my room while I had my ex on my lap and I was surprised. I never wanted to be like my father, but it turned out that I was just like him.

“Calm down!” Jackson growled at me.

“Has she linked you?” I asked him as I stopped my pacing.

“No.” He muttered.

“Try linking her.” I told him.

He sighed but looked away.

“What?” I asked.

“I’ve been trying.” He told me.

“And?” I asked.

“She was followed by someone. Now she is resting because the kids need a place to sleep. If I am right she went to an old friend who has a grudge against me.” Xander told us.

“And?” I asked.

“They made me a promise to always protect my sister’s and now that she needs them the most they will help her. Of course that also means not knowing if I’m here or not. They would only help her, not me.” He told us.

“What did you do?” Jackson asked.

“Something really bad.” He muttered.

“What about Rachel?” I asked.

“When she comes home she will be with a lot of people. I’m not too sure if they are supernatural or not so I’m asking for my sister because she is f*****g stupid and has too much pride to ask if they can enter-” I cut him off.

“She’s the Luna. She doesn't need any kind of permission.” I told him.

“Can you just give them access to the lands for my peace and mind?” He asked.

“I will.” I whispered.

‘HELP!’ A female warrior yelled.

‘Where are you?’ I asked her.

‘Entrance of the lands. There is a woman in a truck with multiple cars behind her. She said that her name is Rachel.’ She told me.

‘Allow them in. That is your Luna.’ I told her.

‘Yes Alpha.’ She muttered.

“There here?” Jackson asked.

“Jackson you need to give her a second to be here then you can go up to her. She is a gang member of multiple gangs and once we are in that mood we are never the same. Trust me when I say she will not like that you will try to hug her or make her show emotion. If she brought people she isn’t our friend or sister at this moment. She is a gang person.” Xander said.

“W-” I was cut off with a honk of a truck.

We all walked out and saw hundreds of cars.

“Where can they stay?” Rachel asked coldly.

She looked like she never once cared for us.

“Hello?” Rachel asked with a glare.

“Um;” Xander cut me off.

“Yes, but some might have to bunk with others and the top families can stay with us.” Xander said.

‘What are you doing?’ I asked him.

‘Trust me real quick.’ He told me.

“Well; Adriana and Zackson will be staying with us along with Hector.” Rachel said.

“What about his leader?” Xander asked.

“Xander; don’t test me.” Rachel hissed.

‘You and I both know what he is and who his leader is.’ I heard Rachel link him.

‘No; no I do not. Why don’t you tell me.’ He told her.

“My boss won’t be with us.” The Hector guy said.

“Why not?” Xander asked.

“Xander enough!” Rachel said through gritted teeth.

“Why can’t you just tell the truth? You’re hiding behind-” Xander was cut off.

“My brother has told me will be here in two hours.” Zachson said.

“B-Brother?” Xander asked.

“Yes.” Zachson said.

“Ryder this is my best friend Adriana and her boyfriend Zachson who’s been protecting me like a brother should for six years. That back there is their daughter; Lillian. Zackson will be teaching our family about the things we need to know.” Rachel told us.

‘How to defeat humans without showing our wolves.’ She linked us.

‘Why can’t we just say it out loud?’ Xander asked.

‘Because some are humans and the one who’s coming wasn’t supposed to come so now I have to hide everything including the fact I am mated to someone who isn’t him because of your dumbass.’ She hissed at him.

“They will teach you how to shoot a gun and how to fight without using your full strength like how I did when I first fought our top-fighter.” Rachel said.

We nodded.

“For now we need to rest because it's late.” She told us.

I sighed and nodded.

“Adria, Lil can bunk with the girls. You can have my room. I will be bunking with a friend.” Rachel said.

“He won’t like that idea.” Her friend said.

“He’s going to get over it once I explain everything to him.” Rachel said.

“Let’s go inside. Jackson; Xander, show everyone their rooms.” I said.

“Oh and Hector you will be staying in a room downstairs. Ryder will show you.” Rachel said.

The guy nodded and turned to me looking at me coldly. I sighed and took him to a room downstairs while I walked upstairs and saw my room door opened.

“Are you going to walk in or stay out there?” I heard Rachel’s voice.

I sighed again and walked in. I saw her lying on the bed. I walked into my closet and grabbed clothes to fall asleep then went to the restroom.

After I did my business I walked out and laid down on the bed. I heard a sigh then a small snore. I fell asleep listening to Rachel’s breathing.
