The Bitten One

Chapter 17

Rachel’s POV

It’s been a week and me and Ryder have gone on three dates in total and have been fine so far. I’ve forgiven him and told him that the girl is not welcome in this house anymore.

He agreed and said he would never look or talk to a female unless I was with him even though I told him that he can talk to them, but not flirt. Xander and Kim have been getting along really well and have mated together already.

I found out that Jackson and Hannah were mates. Jackson was so happy when he found out and explained everything to her right then and there. I had to help because she was freaking out. He also explained to us how he was bi.

They just mated last night as they have gotten close. Me and Ryder decided to wait, but the pack has gotten weak without their Luna.

For Jacob and Keke, well she is close to giving birth to the pups and he has done everything in his power to change since he’s been here.

The pack has learned how to fight without using their wolf speed or strength and how to use guns and block out the noise when it is shot because of our advance hearing. At first it hurt to do everything, but now they are used to it.

I have been learning everything about packs and wolves and other supernaturals as I am a powerful wolf as this pack says. I also decided that tonight me and Ryder would mate.

The pack is stronger together, but weaker by themselves and it is bad because we have a pack challenge with a pack close by and they are coming here.

I also have been trying to get to know the land better so I can decide what to do about the gang who’s after me. I smirked as I knew what to do.

‘Jackson! Meet me in the woods now!’ I linked my brother.

Oh yeah me and Jackson have decided to try this sibling relationship and it has been going so good. The pack was happy to have their little princess back as they say, but I told them it would take time and I’ve asked what my name was before I was taken, but nobody wants to say the name.

‘Coming!’ He linked me with a growl.

‘Get over it. I know what to do now.’ I told him.

I was already in the woods as I was waiting for something to come to me. I have always been good at thinking when I’m out in the woods.

One time I had gone a full day with staying outside and nobody cared for me so when I needed time to think I would take the girls to the woods so they could play and I can think. Jackson was in front of me in a few seconds.

“What did you find out?” He asked me.

“So they don’t know I’m here with two gangs. I am hoping they also don’t know the truth.” I said.

“What truth?” He asked.

“That one of the gangs is my gang. Jacob was a cover for Xander because I didn’t want him to know how much of a killer I am or was, but now I have to come clean because I am going to set up a meeting out here. On our lands. We know these lands better than they do so we have a chance at beating them. Once this is done they can either go back to their packs or choose what they want to do. I didn’t know I was working with wolves when they joined my gang so don’t ask questions.” I said.

“I understand. Some are rogues living in our lands.” He told me.

I sighed and nodded. I learned that rogues have this death smell which none of the guys or women who work for me have since they have made their own small pack with me.

“Will Ryder accept them?” I asked.

“If you ask him.” He whispered.

I sighed and nodded my head. I looked in front of me.

“I read that I can turn someone like me if they were killed.” I told him.

“Okay?” He asked.

“I am thinking that I can help Hannah and do that because once The Boss sees he killed his own sister then he would have to forfeit and leave.” I told him.

“There’s a chance she won’t make it though.” He told me.

“That is why nobody has shifted into their wolves these past few weeks. I know he is scouting us out to see where our weakness is and I know some of his men have seen his sister, but haven't told him because they are scared of a war between us.” I explained.

“What are you thinking?” He asked.

‘RACHEL!’ Xander linked me.

I sighed and got up.

“Let’s go. You will see as everything is ready in motion.” I said.

He sighed and followed after me. I saw my brother and Ryder head to toe as they stood off looking at each other.

“Stand down Jacob.” I said.

Jacob slowly stood down and backed up a few steps from Ryder.

‘I will give everything up to stay here.’ Jacob linked me.

‘Will your pack want to come here?’ I ask.

‘Yes.’ He told me.

“Ryder, can we talk in private? With all of the heads of the packs?” I asked.

“Let’s go.” He said.

Me, Ryder, Jackson, Xander, Hector, and Jacob all went into the Alpha’s office. I of course sat on top of Ryder’s lap.

“So I have a plan, but in order for the plan to work I have to ask you something.” I said.

“What is it?” Ryder asked.

“I know that some of the people I have employed are rogues and some have other packs so I was hoping if they wanted to join your pack can they?” I asked.

“It’s our pack so if they want to follow you then yes. And wait what?” He asked.

“Jacob was a cover story for the gang as I didn’t want any of you to think I’m only a killer. I couldn’t see the disappointment in Xander’s face as he knew what it meant to be a gang leader.” I said looking down.

I heard two sighs and groans. I knew they were talking in their links.

“I am also hoping to join your pack along with my pack. You will be Alpha as I just want to be a regular pack member.” Jacob said.

“What?” Xander asked.

I read that no Alpha has stepped down and merged with another pack in over two thousands years. I turned to Ryder to see him thinking.

“It will help in this fight we are going to be up against soon. He has over two thousand wolves at his beckon call.” I said.

“How many people does this Boss have?” Ryder asked.

“Well um;-” I was cut off.

“Too many to pass up this offer. We can build another pack house; well two pack houses and have this also a pack house along with other homes.” Xander said.

“If we are going to do this we need it done like yesterday so I need to know now.” I told them.

“We have some homes and some rooms opened. Have some of your pack members or at last the ones without families to move here. We will build the homes right now along with the new pack houses. We will mix up my pack with yours. You can be the call on Alpha in case I am not able to do my job which we will have the Luna and Beta and third in command. You and your higher ups will have to fight my warriors and head warrior to see who is going to get the title. We will have everything set up in a few hours if they want to start coming.” Ryder explained.

“Deal.” Jacob said and got up.

“Before you go I want the females only. The males will protect your pack. Send some males to protect the females, but none who have family. Also make sure they do not tell your parents as they will through a fit and we do not need that at this moment.” I said.

“They have actually asked me to do this after I talked to them.” He told me.

“Really?” I asked.

“Yes because I am not strong enough to be the Alpha of the pack.” He whispered.

“Because you have a human mate.” I muttered.

“Yes.” He whispered and looked away.

“Nobody here tells them that you have bitten wolves in this pack. Ryder makes sure they know that we are not going against what the moon goest wants, but to keep the peace until we can show them that not all bitten wolves are bad.” I told them.

“We understand.” Ryder said.

“Everyone is making houses and new pack houses.” Xander said.

“Are the kids helping?” I asked.

“Yes.” He muttered.

I smirked as I knew why he didn’t like that idea. I got up slowly and stared at the boys in the office.

“WELL WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR GO HELP!” I yelled.

They all raced out of the room, but Ryder came back and gave me a peck on my lips. I smiled and went to the kitchen and saw that the omegas were looking outside.

“If you want to go, go help. Tell Ryder I sent you to help.” I told them.

“Are you sure Luna?” A little teenage girl asked.

“Yes, go on.” I said.

They all ran out with happy smiles.

‘Any Omega’s who want to help with the making of a new pack house or houses can go help. Luna’s orders so do not worry about your Alpha.’ I linked the whole pack.

I heard cheering everything as they raced to go help. I sighed as I saw babies in swings and on their stomachs as they were far enough away from everything, but was close enough if something happened.

‘Luna rogues!’ I heard a guard link me.

‘Do not link anyone else!’ I commanded.

I walked out and saw everyone happy helping each other. Xander saw me watching them and went to the woods. I saw Jacob and Hector do the same with Ryder.

‘Jackson, protect the pack from here.’ I linked my brother.

‘I know.’ He whispered.

I ran to the border and saw everyone waiting for me. I looked closer and sighed.

‘Not rogues!’ I linked Ryder.

‘They smell like rogues!’ He growled at me.

I closed my eyes and sighed.

“Jackie, what are you doing here? We have agreed that you and your family will stay out of the gang and go back to your pack.” I said.

“I know we said we will go back to our family, but they kicked us out. We don’t know what to do.” She told me.

I sighed and almost took a step over the border, but Xander grabbed me.

“I am going to check out who is in the car.” I said.

He looked at Ryder who was looking at my movements. He knew I was upset with him already and didn’t know if he should push his luck.

He nodded and Xander let me go. I walked over to the car and scented out another person. I growled and opened the trunk with my gun pointed at the person. They held their hands up as they dropped the gun.

“Jackie!” I growled.

She ran to me and ended up bowing on her knees for forgiveness.

“He’s my mate and human.” She said, crying.

“This is why they kicked you out?” I asked.

“Yes.” She whispered.

“Get out.” I commanded.

He quickly got out and looked at us.

“Have you bit him?” I asked.

“Yes he will be shifting soon.” She told me.

I nodded and sighed.

‘Ryder it’s up to you if you want her in the pack. She is no harm to us, but I do not know this man at all. He smells like a human, but there is something else on him that I could not tell.’ I linked my mate.

He showed up behind and growled, pulling me behind him. I was confused.

“What are you doing mating with a wolf blood sucker?” Ryder asked.

“She is my mate.” The man said.

‘Ryder, what is going on?’ I asked.

‘He’s a vampire.’ He told me.

‘So I’m a hybrid lycan or whatever.’ I told him.

‘It’s different you don’t suck blood for a living.’ He growled at me.

‘I am getting tired of you growling at me! If you growl one more time I will never f**k you.’ I told him.

‘I’m sorry.’ He muttered.

‘Now I do not drink blood because I am not a fully hybrid.’ I told him.

‘What?’ He asked.

‘In order for me to become a hybrid I have to be killed and I haven’t been killed have I now?’ I asked him.

‘No.’ He muttered.

‘It would help me if he was here. I might not know him, but we can force him into our life if we have to accept them into the pack or I will be staying in an unmated wolves room.’ I threatened.

“You are allowed on my lands, but you have to agree not to suck any blood from humans and my pack.” Ryder said.

“I don’t drink human or wolf blood. I go for animals.” The man said.

“Show them where they will be staying and you will be watching them until I or Ryder say otherwise.” I told a guard.

He glared at me, but didn’t move.

“YOUR LUNA GAVE YOU AN ORDER!” Ryder yelled.

The wolf flinched and bowed down to us, but I am tired of this behavior against me.

‘PACK MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT AT SEVEN! NO PUPS!’ I growled into the pack link.

I heard whimpers and some small growls which I growled back to making them full out whimper.

“You okay?” Xander asked me.

“Yes I am tired of this disrespect.” I told him.

“You are a bitten wolf. Some do not like the bitten wolves.” He told me.

“I do not care if I am not a born wolf or not. I will be allowing this disrespect. They will know why they are being attacked and why I left and came back.” I told him.

“They might hate you even more.” He told me.

“They will see it from my point of view or f**k off.” I growled at him and walked away.

I saw the pack all trying to build together, but some are fighting about how disrespectful they were to me.

‘I forgive those who have been disrespectful, now get back to work and be peaceful.’ I told everyone softly.

They went back to normal so I walked inside and started cooking and making drinks.
