Chapter 12

Ryder’s POV

I growled and tried to drive faster, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to reach her.

“Calm down! I also want her, but with all this growling is not going to help.” Xander said.

I sighed and nodded. We pulled up to a parking lot where her scent ended. I got out of the car and walked to her truck, but she wasn’t in it. Jackson showed up after a few seconds. He growled and sighed.

“What’s that?” He asked me.

I grabbed the note and keys that were left in the truck.

“Dear boys;

Xander; I’m sorry I was a b***h toward you, but I had great enemies who wanted to explode me. I killed someone for my boss, but he was someone important. The Boss everyone fears was my boss and you know who I’m talking about. He will be after me because I took one of his underage girls. I hope one day you can forgive me. When the girls are sixteen I will send them to you if they want. I never wanted to break us apart, but I am wanted by the cops and all the gangs now. Nobody is safe with me anymore so I am going into hiding.

Ryder; I forgive you and only want you to be happy so if that slut who f****d your best friend is the one then I approve of her. That is if you want Xander’s second sloppy. I hope one day you are either happy with where you are or we can try for real next time. The only reason I didn’t want to get close to you which already happened was because I didn’t want you to see the real me. The killer they made me to be. I am no saint and will never be a good person, but one day I hope we can be a real family once the girls are old enough to understand everything.

Jackson; I am not asking for forgiveness because what I did was wrong. Under the seat are the real results of our DNA test. I hoped you weren’t my family, but it was true and now I have to protect you before they find out. Nobody read the results as I asked and I did this job for them. I also watched as they burned all the proof they had so we don’t have to worry for now. I couldn’t allow you to show your excitement there because they would use it against me so I asked for them to give you a fake result while I get the real one so I can tell you on my own.

I am sorry I broke your family apart, but one day I hope you all can forgive each other. I love all of you. Ryder; I lied about how I will never love you because to be honest the second I saw you I fell in love with you. Jackson I will always be here if you ever need me and I made you a promise before I left and I will keep that promise to you. Xander; I love you so much and I will always care for you like you were my brother like I’ve always done. I love you all. Goodbye.” I read out loud.

I saw Jackson close to falling so I launched myself forward and grabbed him. He was crying for the sister he thought he lost and for the one girl who he thought he would make a sister. Xander helped me pick him up as he cried hard.

“S-She left knowing.” He whispered.

“She will be back.” I whispered.

“YOU DID THIS! IF SHE DIDN’T SEE THAT SLUT IN YOUR ROOM SHE WOULD HAVE STAYED!” He yelled at me.

I sighed and nodded.

“I know.” I whispered.

“Why did you?” Xander asked.

“I was telling her we had to break up.” I muttered.

“From what I saw in her mind wasn’t what it looked like.” Jackson said.

Flashback:

I was in my room with my soon-to-be-wife, but I wanted to break it off.

“We can have two mates.” She told me.

“No we can’t and I don’t want two mates’.” I told her.

“Then make her leave.” She told me.

“No, I will end up loving her one day.” I told her.

“I’m your wife.” She whispered.

“Ex-fiance.” I told her.

“W-What?” She asked.

She was straddling me so I couldn’t move unless I wanted to hurt her.

“Look, I told you we were just a fling.” I told her.

“But we were supposed to be married by the end of next month.” She told me.

“I have a mate and so do you.” I muttered.

“But we don’t love our mates.” She whispered.

“We have to do this in order to have pups and to have a strong pack.” I muttered.

“So why don’t just tell her that I’m the one you love and will be with while she is just for show so the pack and everyone else thinks we are untied.” She told me.

‘Yeah like that will happen!’ I thought.

“What if I say I do not want to be the side hoe?” I heard a cold voice ask.

I looked and saw Rachel standing in the doorway.

“Rachel!”I yelled, standing up and dropping my ex onto the floor.

I didn’t even help her up as my mate stood there looking at me.

“I came to tell you something, but it looks like you got a side hoe.” She told me.

“W-What are you doing here?” I asked her, shocked.

“I need to tell you something. I- Actually make her leave.” She told me.

My ex wanted to say something, but I saw the evil look Rachel gave us.

“You’ve seen what I can do to your top warrior with half of my strength. Don’t make me use all of my-” I cut her off.

“She’s leaving.” I said.

My ex scoffed, but did as told as I was the Alpha as she was just a guest here.

“Tonight I’m going to get the DNA test done with Jackson at a friend's clinic, but in order for me to do it with them I have to do some jobs. I was going to tell you it wasn’t going to be me wanting it as it is always against my will, but I clearly see you don’t care. If you start feeling a burning sensation it is probably because I’m forced to kiss someone or getting r***d. I don’t want Xander to know until me and Jackson find out, but I came here to tell you what I was going to go through as I’m actually thinking about you, but clearly you aren’t thinking of me. I will be gone all night and possibly in the morning so if I come home late or in the morning do not worry about me.” She told me and walked out of the room.

I sighed and decided to wait till she leaves then follow her to make sure she is safe and I will take Xander with me, but I won’t tell him what we are doing.

Flashback ended.

Now we are here with everything f****d up.

“Where will she go hiding?” I asked Xander.

“I don't know. I haven’t seen my sister in ten years and even then she changed and it doesn’t look good.” He told me.

“Let’s go home and talk.” Jackson muttered.

He got into Rachel’s car that she loves so much and won’t let anyone but him drive it. We all drove home. I decided to drive the truck home and let Xander drive my car.

An hour later we were inside sitting in the dining room.

“She told me that she was going to leave if we weren’t related.” Jackson whispered

“If I am thinking about what I am then she did what was best for all of us. The people she was talking about in that letter will be here in a few hours.” Xander said, but then there was bagging on the door.

He got up and grabbed a gun he kept here from his past. We followed him as he walked to the door.

“Aww the little wimp lives here.” A man said.

“I’m not the same anymore Hayden.” Xander said.

“No, but your slut of a sister is.” The man said.

“You don't know s**t about her! And I told you to stay away from her!” Xander yelled, but held himself back.

“She was really good in bed. She’s freaky, but then again I did force myself on her. She just did as told because she feared word would get back to you that she’s not the same.” He told Xander.

Xander was seething so I pulled my wolf back so I could help my friend.

“You broke the promise you made.” Xander said seething.

“You broke it first. You didn’t die.” The man whispered in Xander’s ear, but Xander grabbed him and threw him on the ground.

He kept punching until some people jumped in and tried to punch him, but me and Jackson both jumped in and helped him out.

We heard a gunshot and we all turned and saw Xander pointing the gun to the man on the ground who looked ugly.

“Your sister’s dead either way. She took something of mine. I want it back.” The man said, spitting out blood as he got up.

“She took an underage kid away from the hellhole.” Xander said.

“She took my sister.” The man said, smirking.

Xander didn’t falter as he heard the news, but I could see he was shocked.

“Make sure she brings her back or I will hurt you.” The man said.

“She hates me right now! I left her and never came back for her! If you know my sister then you would know she hates people who break their promises.” Xander said.

“You really made a promise to the Snake?” The man asked in amusement.

“Why do people keep asking me about that!” Xander groaned.

“The Snake has never been seen with any kind of emotions. Just ask your friend there. She kissed multiple people as she walked through the house and sat in front of me coldly taking so many drugs into her system. She didn’t care if her friend was there as she talked about gang business with us. He heard everything we talked about along with going to a club and doing a job for us. Now we might have not gone into details, but anybody could figure out what kind of job she had to do.” The man said.

Xander didn’t look back as he didn’t want to look off guard. He did keep his gun pointed at the man though.

“I also know that she has taken a liking to her friend who might be her brother and I know your sister better than you do. She didn’t run for you.” The man said.

Xander looked taken off guard making the man smirk.

“What happens when she comes home in a couple years? You three forgive each other for all the things you did now, but then she shows up after years. What will you do when she has been used by men? What if she dies because she is marked? What happens when you find out she is pregnant? What-” I attacked him, but Xander grabbed me and pulled me away from them.

“Leave now! You are not welcomed here again.” Xander said.

“Don’t leave your land boys because if you do we will kill you in order to get to Snake.” He told us.

Xander waited till he was gone along with his people. I wanted them dead, but Xander knew these people better than me.

“Link her right now Jackson.” Xander said walking into the house.

“For what?” Jackson asked.

“She needs to come home.” Xander said.
