"I didn't know this was happening. Is Walid out of his damn mind?" I rubbed my forehead. All this news was giving me a big headache. There had to be a reason behind all this announcement. Was he coming back for me? Somewhere deep down in my heart, I was happy just a little tinny bit. He still remembered me.

"First, mind telling me what the f**k is going on?" Chris asked.

"It's a long story," I sighed.

Cruz crossed her arm over her chest and said, "we have time!"

"Fine then, it all started with... then he chose her over me, and he kicked me out. Can you believe that?" my voice cracked at the end.

"That asshole! I knew he was too good to be true. Did you find out the guy that threatens your doctor?" Chris asked.

"No, I haven't. Khalid bro and I are still trying to find out who that person is. Every time we would find some information, that person somehow would cover it up. He is an intelligent, clever, and brilliant person. He knows what he is doing. Every time we thought that we were three steps ahead of him, he always seemed to be ten steps ahead of us," I explained.

"Oh! My poor, little girl. You have been through a lot. Do not worry. We are here to help you.

"I am just a phone call away. I'm sure that Chris is too," Cruz hugged me.

"If you don't mind, I can have my men find out who this 'Osman' guy is. I can have my men after him immediately," Chris offered.

"Thanks! I need as much help I can get. This means a lot to me that you guys are doing this for me," I smiled.

"Don't mention it. That is what friends are for?" Cruz smiled.

"Have you guys heard anything from Kathy or Gabby? I have been trying to contact them, but their number is not reachable. I am worried about them. Something is wrong," I assumed.

"No, I haven't heard anything from them. The last time I talked to them was last year. After that, I haven't heard anything from them either," Cruz said.

"Wait! They have your phone number?" I asked.

"Yeah, duh!" She said.

"Then I could have got your number from them. Anyway, I have my men looking for them. If I find anything, you guys will be the first to know about it," I smiled.

"Guys, I feel like this was all planned out," Cruz mumbled.

"What makes you say that?" I questioned.

"I mean, if you think about it, it makes all sense," She answered.

"Cruz, get to the point," Christian snapped.

"Okay! Okay! Jeez, think about this. Walid is getting his PA pregnant. Would Walid do something like that? You have known each other since you two were kids. Do you think he would do that?" She asked, looking at me.

That is interesting. Now that Cruz has brought this up, it is on my mind, and it is making me think. What if all these events are plan out? What if Walid did not do it.

No, Antonia. You can think of this right now. If he did not know about it, he would have come back all those years and told you himself. However, he did not.

"I don't know, Cruz. People change a lot in their life," I sigh.

"Yeah, Cruz! He did come back after many years to marry Antonia," Chris agreed.

Cruz pulled Chris to her and whispered something in his ear. Chris's eyes widened, and his mouth shaped into an 'o' form. I looked at them flummoxed.

"Ignore him. Answer my question. When you were with him in high school, how was he? Was he like one of those players?" She asked, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"He was very kind, caring, and respectful to women and girls. He would never take advantage of them. Even though he was the hottest guy in high school, he didn't go out with girls," I respond.

"See what I mean. If Walid was like that, he still is like that. Maybe something happened to him that made him act that way. What if he's taken advantage? What if he wasn't in the right mind when he did it, or he doesn't know that something happened to him? What if he was drugged or something?" She explained.

"Cruz, all you are saying is 'if.' You are not sure about all the things you said just now, and besides, my past life is over. Right now, my goal is to find that man that caused my life to shatter and ruin." I responded.

"Antonia, think about it. First, him getting a woman pregnant that he does not know at all. As you said, he would never take advantage of a girl. Then he marries you. You lose your first child. Walid not coming home on time. That 'Osman' person is threatening your doctor. When you find that you are pregnant again, your doctor decided to tell you that someone threatened her at that time. After that, Walid getting married to Rachel. Somehow, that girl convinced him to kick you out because Walid would never do that. He loves you too much to do that. I saw the love in his eyes for you. You are separated, and you moved to Paris. Then you sent him the divorce paper, but he never sent you back. He just said he is coming back to get you. He would never do that if he never loved you. I feel like someone is controlling him. He does not want to do all this. Something fishy is going on in here, I am telling you," she responded.

"What if this wasn't all planned out? What if this was supposed to happen?" I snapped, getting frustrated. All of a sudden, why are they not on my side. They are on his side, trying to defend him. I thought they were my friends.

Cruz came up to me and shook my shoulders, "Open your eyes, Antonia! You are letting your mind control you. You're letting your mind win over your heart."

"Look, I have a meeting in 15 minutes. I will think about the crazy thing you just said. Just let me know if you find anything about Kathy, Gabby, or Osman." I said, getting up.

"These aren't crazy things. I am telling you all this happened. And deep down, I know you believe that all this is true. You might not want to admit it, but you still love Walid. Maybe not a lot, however, you still love him a little," She yelled as I walked out.

She is right! I do still love him a little, but I may not. I do wish all this was real, but I know this is all good to be true. I still love him and always will, but that is not going to change anything. I will never forgive him for doing this to me. Returning to my life will not be easy for him.
