Chapter 11

I take Deimos to my apartment for a moment packing up some of my stuff and grabbing all the cash I have. I look around my one bedroom apartment. It wasn't alot but it was mine. Deimos stands behind me carrying a large duffle bag with my clothes. I take a deep sigh and turn the light off shutting the door and locking it. I slip the key into my pocket, I will give the key to Jace when I see him and he can give it to my landlord.

Deimos and I walk to the rent a car place and I rent a Chevy Malibu and I drive the 3 hours to the Coven headquarters. When I pull up to the gate a guard stops me. He motions for me to roll down the window and leans down. "Name?"

"Hi, I'm here to see Jace." I state glancing at the building a mile or so down a driveway.

"Name?" The guard asks again not taking his eyes off me.

"Anastasia Basilia." I say looking back at the guard and hearing him say my name over the walkie. He stood up and stepped away for a second and came back.

"Jace and Collin are on their way. They will come out here, you are not permitted entrance." The guard said when he came back to the car. I got out and leaned against the hood for a moment I thought Deimos was going to stay in the car but he got out shortly after.

We waited a few minutes and soon Jace and Collin are pulling up. When Jace gets out he's dressed very similar to Deimos. Collin opens the gate and I get off the car walking towards them. Jace looks at Deimos with a slight glare and back at me. They stop when they get in front of us.

"Maleficent has been dealt with." I say looking at the two of them. "She won't bother anyone anymore."

"Is that all you came here for?" Jace asked not looking at me. I look at him and he refuses to look at me still.

"I wanted to be civil about this Jace. Why won't you look at me?" Jace snaps his eyes to me sadness behind them. I take a small step back.

"I am looking now. Are you going to tell me that why I think your here is a lie?" Jace asks a bit confused. I take another step back and I shake my head. Deimos gets in the car as I look for a long time into Jace's eyes.

"I want to memorize your eyes. Jace I am really sorry I had to make a choice to save this world. I, Anastasia Basilia, of the Red Cresent Pack, reject you Jace Moore of the Moon Hollow Coven, as my mate." As I say the words tears fall quickly and I watch him fall grabbing his chest.

As I get into the passenger side of the car I hear him say with as much heartbreak in his voice that I can feel in my chest, "I, Jace Moore, of the Moon Hollow Coven, accept your rejection." I shut the car door as Deimos backs out and speeds off.

Deimos stops after almost 5 hours of driving and turns to look at me. I haven't spoken since we left Seattle and he turned the music off a while ago, "Anya, are you okay? You haven't spoke in a while."

"Just processing everything." I say looking over at him. I can see that he is still looking at me, "Sorry, lets get going."

4 years later-

"Deimos! When are the witches coming for the meet-" I say walking around a corner and seeing Jace standing in my foyer talking to an unknown guy.

"Jace? What are you doing here?" I ask putting a down the book I was carrying on a small table.

"I am here for a meeting with Deimos." He says standing straight fixing his jacket.

"Oh. I didn't realize you were on that invitation." I say as Deimos walks in holding a small dark haired girl in his arms. I grab the giggling toddler and kiss her cheek. "Deimos seemed to have forgotten that small detail."

Deimos rubs the back of his neck awkwardly and looks between us. "Yeah, sorry Anya. I didn't know how to tell you." Deimos has kept the mention of Jace to a bare minimum since I rejected him. Jace stares at my daughter in my arms and looks at me hurt and a Deimos a bit upset.

"Deimos, I am going to have Melinoe and Bo watch Cassie and then I will be in your office for the meeting." I start to head up the stairs going to find my sister and when sirens start blaring. I quickly run to Bo's office and throw Cassie at Melinoe and dont explain but I jump out the window and when I hit the ground my head looks up and I look side to side looking for the threat.

I can feel the ground shake and very loud crashing noise everywhere in the forest surrounding us. Suddenly I get a mind link from Deimos.

"Titans!"
