Cosette's explanation was stuck in her throat because of Edward's cold sight.
Cosette just smiled and spoke no words.
Cosette's silence was a positive answer in the eyes of others.
Edward said coldly: "I don’t think you’ll be qualified of Mrs. Miller. You should have a bit of self-knowledge."
Cosette was quite embarrassed hearing Edward's words.
Ethan tried to protect Cosette and said to Edward: "I can be with anyone I want. It’s none of your business."
Edward's cold eyes looked at Ethan.
"Oh, really? Ethan, how about I call your mom now and tell her that her baby son wants to get married to an actor? Um, I think it’ll be very interesting." Edward said.
"f**k you," Ethan replied angrily.
Ethan was irritated.
Cosette didn't want Ethan to be embarrassed and stepped back a few steps.
"I’m sorry, you’ve misunderstood. Ethan and I are just friends." Cosette said.
Matte saw that the atmosphere between Edward and Ethan was not right and came out to say something nice.
"Okay, Ethan is still young. Edward, please forgive his rude words." Matte said.
Ethan mumbled: "I don’t need him to forgive me!"
Matte glared at Ethan.
Leyla chuckled: "I’m confused now. When we’re at work, you and Cosette are so close, and we all thought you are in love."
Edward was angrier hearing Leyla's words. He walked in the other direction.
Ethan glanced at Leyla lightly.
"Leyla, if you have nothing to do, please do something to flatter my uncle," Ethan said.
"What?" Leyla said.
Leyla's face flushed red, and she stared fiercely at Cosette, then left.
Ethan looked down at Cosette and said, "Aren't you just hungry? Let’s go and eat something."
"Yeah, sure," Cosette said.
Cosette was walking to the dining area, with her expression still shocked.
Ethan placed the plate in front of Cosette and said, "If you have anything to ask, just ask."
"You and Edward, uh, you," Cosette said.
"Edward is my mother's youngest brother, and he’s my uncle," Ethan said.
"Wow, you," Cosette said.
"We have been at odds since we were young. I hate him, and he doesn't like me." Ethan said.
Cosette was speechless.
Well, she could see that they disliked each other.
Ethan was the most popular male star. Many people came to him so that they could talk to him.
Cosette said, "I need some air."
Ethan was a little worried, and Cosette smiled: "Oh, please, I will be fine."
Then Cosette walked to the other side.
Out of the hall, there were no loud noises around, and Cosette felt a lot relaxed.
After spending a long time here, Cosette turned around, preparing to go back.
Suddenly, someone grabbed her arm.
Cosette looked at the person, and then her body was trembling.
"Edward, let me go," Cosette said.
"Nope!" Edward said.
Edward dragged Cosette to the aisle.
"What are you doing?" Cosette said.
"I want you now!" Edward replied.
Pushing Cosette against the wall, Edward looked down at her.
"Edward, are you crazy? Uh," Cosette said.
Edward’s kiss blocked Cosette's words, and her eyes widening at the suddenly Edward’s enlarged face.
Edward put one hand on Cosette's bareback.
Feeling the smooth skin under his hand, Edward’s eyes deepened.
This damn woman dared to wear such clothes to the banquet. Did she not know how charming she was like this?
Cosette began to resist, unable to push Edward away. In a hurry, she bit her tongue.
The bloody smell spread between the two of them and Edward released his hand and stared at Cosette.
"Why? Do you hate me for kissing you?" Edward said.
"Edward, we have no relationship anymore," Cosette said, looking at Edward.
Edward smiled, pinching Cosette's chin, and said coldly: "Three years later, why are you still so cheap?"
Cosette felt painful. She didn't know if it was because of her chin or other reasons. Her face was pale.
Three years ago…
For Cosette, what happened three years ago was a nightmare that she never wanted to remember again.
Edward was full of anger, and for a moment, he really wanted to strangle Cosette.
However, when Edward saw the tears in Cosette's eyes, the strength of his hand slowly relaxed.
Cosette fell to the ground in a mess.
Edward looked at Cosette condescendingly and said, "I don't care what your plan is. But you must stay away from Ethan!"

Ethan suddenly appeared, shouting at Edward and running to Cosette.
"Coco, are you okay? Is there any discomfort?" Ethan said.
Cosette shook her head at Ethan.
Ethan hugged Cosette directly without looking at Edward and left.
Edward looked at the figure of the two leaving, clenching his fists.
Elvin watched Ethan get out of holding Cosette and then walked to them.
"What happened?" Elvin asked.
Ethan shook his head at Elvin.
"Let’s leave," Ethan said.
Seeing that neither of them had a good complexion, Elvin asked no more.
Arrived at the place where Cosette lived, Ethan looked at the humble residential building and frowned.
"Back to my apartment," Ethan said.
Elvin said nothing, turned, and drove to Ethan's private apartment.
When they arrived at Ethan's apartment, Cosette said nothing and fell asleep.
Ethan looked at Cosette’s thin back and felt distressed in his eyes, but he could do nothing but distress.
Cosette was lying on the bed with tears blurred in her face.
This night was destined to be a sleepless night.
"You shameless little b***h. You’re unmarried but pregnant. You are only eighteen years old. You make our family shameful."
"You are just like your sluttish mother. You are both cheap things."
"Now our company is having trouble now. Since you are not a virgin, why don’t you using your body to save our company’s business? And, you will also be able to repay your and your brother's debts for so many years in the family!"
With many rounds of rebuke and abusive words, Cosette felt like she had fallen into a bottomless black hole.
It was dark all around, and there was no sunlight.
Cosette tried to find Edward.
“Edward. Edward…” Cosette murmured unconsciously.
But Edward said that he didn't want Cosette anymore. He had felt disgusted about her and would never protect her anymore.
"Coco."
"Coco, wake up."
Cosette slowly opened her eyes and saw Ethan's face. The light in her eyes slowly faded away.
"If you want to see Edward, I will call him now," Ethan said.
Ethan got up and said a little bit awkwardly.
"No," Cosette said.
Cosette grabbed Ethan’s hand and shook her head.
"I'm fine, just a nightmare," Cosette said.
Ethan took a chair and sat down in front of the bed.
"Well, you can continue to sleep. I'll be with you here. You will have no more nightmares." Ethan said.
