Edward smiled as he happily watched Cosette trying to protect her food from him.
Cosette always made him happy. Even this small interaction had taken away the disgust he had felt when he saw Leyla approaching him.
Edward knew he couldn't continue to ignore Leyla as this would only back fire on Cosette, so he raised his glass and nodded to Leyla.
He had brought Cosette enough hatred.
In between courses, Cosette went to the washroom.
Cosette had drunk a little wine and her face was slightly flushed.
Whilst in the cubicle she heard a female voice.
"Leyla, you are too kind. Didn't you see Cosette's slutty look? She puts on a coquettish face just to seduce Edward."
