Edward was concerned that Cosette had not returned and went to the restroom to look for her.
However, just before he got there, he heard a woman call him from behind.
“Edward!"
It sounded like Cosette and he immediately turned in the direction of the voice but, as he did so, was attacked from behind and fell unconscious to the ground.
Marlien emerged from the shadows and looked down at Edward’s prostrate body.
"Send him to Leyla," Marlien ordered the assailant.
