“You have a good point,” I told Jason as I abruptly got up.
“I’m full of them.” He replied and began to lay back down.
“Kylie needs to learn to protect herself. I mean, of course, I always want to be there for her and take care of her. But let’s face it, we can’t be by her side 24/7. No matter how much I would want that.”
“No, we cannot.”
“So what does that leave us with?”
“Training her. Telling her what she is. The possibilities that come with it.”
“She hasn’t experienced her first shift though.”
“Which I find quite strange. But then again, that’s not the only strange thing about her, now is it?”
“I suppose not. I said and began to pace. Nevertheless, though, she should know. Everything. And trained as well. I will make sure she starts today.”
