You would think that after an extensive, painful labor, all I would want to do was sleep, but I couldn’t take my eyes off my new son and daughter. Our little man was the spitting image of his father, born at a whopping 9 pounds, which was a shock considering how early he had come and the fact he was a twin. His big build meant he would be a strong Alpha one day, just like his daddy. My beautiful little princess was a whole pound lighter than her brother and was my double. She was more subdued than he was and was able to calm him just by her presence. I couldn’t believe how quickly these two pups had captured my heart and how fiercely protective I was of them already.
