Billy waited until six o’clock that evening before returning to Paisley’s Petals with the building materials for the new shelving. Paisley had given him a key and he breathed a sigh of relief when he turned the doorknob and found it locked, indicating that Laney was gone. He unlocked the door and began unloading his equipment. Space was at a premium inside the relic of a building so the shelves would be a welcome addition to the flower shop. Billy whistled as he cleared the space of a roll of cellophane, green foam squares, and some miscellaneous pots. With a thick pencil, he measured and marked on the wall where he planned to mount the first shelf. The job was an easy one—it didn’t require much skill, but Billy was thankful that people around Echo Ridge were starting to recognize Redbuilt
