Thursday morning Laney got a text from Billy.
Can you meet me at the shop at 7? You can bring Oliver if it’s not too late.
Laney smiled and reread the text three times before she replied: Yes!
That simple text changed the rest of the day for Laney because Billy had invited Oliver. He couldn’t understand what that meant to her, because he didn’t know her ex-husband Dane Peterson.
