Chapter 13 The Friday before homecoming week was notoriously busy, but even Paisley hadn’t been able to anticipate the onslaught of orders on top of a weekend wedding. Laney’s feet felt like cinderblocks by the time she cleaned up the shop. At seven o’clock Paisley called her husband and sister to finish up a few things and shooed Laney out the door.
