"I thought you had to leave today." Evey says, cuddling closer to me. We have been lying together for the past hour, just enjoying being together, It feels like a dream to know that we are finally marked. This changes everything. I want to cancel everything and stay with her.
"You should tell her the truth. She is not going to be happy when she finds out you are using her as bait." My wolf retorts in my head.
"She is no bait. There are guards everywhere, and Amaranth's warriors are here as well. Nobody can see them, but she says they are." I try to put him at ease.
"Just tell her. If we can see what is in her head, she probably can read through your mind, too." I am still not very sure under what circumstances I am able to see what's in her mind, I haven't seen anything
