The Queen

Chapter 2

When the wrath of King Zachariah appeased he remembered Eury the late Queen and how Eury disrespect him. He also remembered his royal commandments.

One of the Wise Man who's name Zephon said. "My beloved King, why don't you find a beautiful young virgins woman to replace Queen Eury. I mean Eury as a Queen." Zephon the Wise Man suggested to him respectfully. "And let the King appoint officers in all the provinces of your kingdom to gather all the fair young virgins and bring them here. To the palace." Zephon added.

"Let Scarlet, the keeper of the women assist them. She will be the one who will give whatever things they needed. My King." One of the Wise Man who's name Ephraim said to the King respectfully.

"And the girl that you will like are the one who will be the Queen of this Kingdom." One of the Wise Man who's name Shimron said.

"Very well then tell to all that, I King Zachariah King of this Kingdom giving tasks to all officer of the provinces that under my name to gather all the fair young women and bring them here to the palace for me to choose the next Queen of this Kingdom. Rich or poor." The King commanded full of authority.

"Yes my King." The messenger of the King said then bow his head one more time then leave to go to the provinces and tell what their King's order.

At that time there was a very beautiful hanjurian young lady. Hanjurian is the given name to the people who live in Hanju village. Hanju Village is a poorest village in their Kingdom. Her name is Zephanaiah. She's an orphan and right now she's living with her aunt. She's still young when her parents died and her aunt Hanna took care of her and treat her like her own child. Zephanaiah is such a beauty indeed. Many people admire her beauty and Kindness. She has a beautiful angelic face and she also has a beautiful body that every girls dream. She is also a very kind person and she has a pure soul that's why many people fell in love with her.

Even though she's a poor many noble child are still courting her well her beauty was unique and breathtaking. But no one win her pure heart. She always wear a smile on her face even though she's facing a difficulties. Some of the people asked her why she's still smiling despite of the difficulties she's facing, she just said that she has God that always there for her no matter what.

So it came to pass, when the King's commandment was heard. Many maidens were brought to the palace and one of them is the beautiful and innocent Zephanaiah. Scarlet assist them and took care of them very well. Zephanaiah is a kind person and because of his kindness Scarlet liked her and treated her very well. Well Zephanaiah is Kind to Scarlet and to other maidens but some of the maidens are busy being bratty that's why Scarlet doesn't like them. She thought that they are just like Eury the late Queen and Zephanaiah is different to them that she's the one who will be the great Queen and perfect for their mighty King.

And because of Zephanaiah's kindness Scarlet choose the most beautiful room in the palace and gave it to her. She also gave her eight maid to assist her.

"Scarlet this is too much" Zephanaiah said shyly. "I don't need many maids you can just give two or one. It's enough for me." Oh. Zephanaiah is really a kind person.

"No. It's all yours. You are very kind and this maid is your reward for being kind to me. Accept it please." Scarlet insisted.

"But----" she immediately cut off by Scarlet word.

"Please." Scarlet begged her.

She sighed then said sweetly. "Ok Scarlet. Thank you so much." then Zephanaiah hug her.

Scarlet just smile on her then take her leave.

Zephanaiah didn't tell to anyone that she's a hanjurian. Her aunt Hanna told her she must not tell anyone that she's a hanjurian, for her not to be mock or bully by anyone knowing that she's from hanjurian. Some of people that are not from Hanju Village see them as a lowly person, specially the noble they see Hanju Village as a trash and if they find out that Zephanaiah is from Hanju Village they mock her and asked the King why he let some girl from Hanju Village to be candidate as a Queen. Well actually King Zachariah see his people fairly that's why he doesn't mind wether the next Queen is from Hanju Village.

Before the woman face the King, she need to finish a year of purification. For the first six months she will apply oil of myrrh to her body, six months with perfumes and with other thing that can help for purifying the women. After that they will give her whatever they desired before she go to the King and if the King like her and choose her to be the Queen she's stay, if not she will go back in her place.

In the middle of the year Zephanaiah who are wondering on the garden accidentally bump to the King. She's shocked and immediately said. "I'm so sorry it's not my intention my King." She said nervously while bowing her head.

The King look at her intently how her face turn to red because of shyness and how she's bowing nervously chanting how she's sorry. The King laugh at Zephanaiah cuteness he told to himself that this woman infront of her is cute even though he didn't see her face he know that she's beautiful. While Zephanaiah are so shock by the King's laugh.

"Raise your head woman." King said with an authority. Zephanaiah immediately raise her head and look everywhere but not on the King, she dare not to look at him.

She's breathtaking beautiful the King said in his self while studying her beautiful features. "Look at me in the eyes." The King's order again. Zephanaiah immediately looked at King's eyes. "His eyes are beautiful, no he's so beautiful." Zephanaiah said in herself.

"Her eyes, she has a beautiful and innocent eyes." The King said to himself. He cannot take his eyes away from her. "What's your name?" Ha asked her while looking intently in his beautiful eyes.

"Zephanaiah my King." Zephanaiah answered shyly. She's turning to red again.

"Are you one of the candidates?" The King asked her hopefully to say yes.

"Yes my King." She shyly said again then bow her head.

The King immediately raised her head then said. "Why are you here? Don't you know it's f*******n to know in this garden while I'm here?" The King asked raising his eyebrow.

"I'm sorry my King I didn't know your here" she said feeling sorry and scared that the King will get mad at her. "If you want I can leave right now. I'm sorry again my King." She's about to leave when the King grabbed her hand and stop her.

"Stay and accompany me." The King said simply then take his sit on one of the benches.

"Sit." He said while looking at Zephanaiah telling her to sit beside him.

She first doubted if she's going to sit next to the him but when the King called her again to sit beside him, she slowly walk and sit beside him.

"You're beautiful." The King said looking at her intently. She immediately turn to red because of her shyness.

The King laughed at her then said. "You're so cute when blushing Zephanaiah." He said sweetly while laughing then pinch her cheeks. Zephanaiah became redder because of what King's doing to her.

"Thank you." She shyly said.

"You really shy huh." King said while raising her eyebrow. She just nodded then they look at the beautiful scenery in front of them.

"You know it's so hard to be the King." King said still looking at the scenery in front of them. Zephanaiah look at him waiting for his next world. "Sometimes I'm thinking what would it feel to be just a normal person, well you know I want to experience what the normal people are doing. I want to wake up in the morning that there's no pressure on your shoulder and specially I want to fall in love and be with the person I love." He said then look at her.

She smile to him and said. "If you're not the King then this kingdom will not peaceful at it seems. You're a great King that why this Kingdom is a wonderful Kingdom. You judge fairly and I admire it." She's smiling at him brightly. "Yes you didn't experience what normal people experience but think they didn't experience too what you are experiencing. You may be a lot of pressure when you woke up in the morning but trust me all people has a lot of pressure in their own, it just that you're a King that's why the pressure you're experiencing is bigger than us."

"And God made you a King because he know that you can handle it. He know that you will be a great king. God wouldn't put you on a situation you can't handle. Just trust him and ask for his help. I know he will help you and the pressure that your experiencing right now is just nothing when God is with you." She said happily. "And about you not experiencing being fall in love. I tell you my King in time you will experience it just wait patiently and I promise you it will be worth it." Sha said advising the King while showing him her bright smile.

"I think I'm already in love." The King said in his mind. "You're right. Thank you for your adviced Zephanaiah. It helps a lot." King said happily. "You can come here whenever you want. Even though I'm here you can still come and maybe advice me." King added then smile at her brightly.

"Sure my King. If you don't mind I need to go back now my time is over Scarlet will get mad at me if I stay for long." Zephanaiah said.

"Sure. Take care." King said with a concern voice. She smiled to the King once again then take her leave.

"Let Zephanaiah come here whenever she want and if I'm here let her in. Understand?" King said strictly to the royal guards.

Royal guards answered him and said "Yes my King." The King nodded then leave.
