Life isn't straight

It was a dark night and I was surrounded by dangerous people , all were equipped with guns. I had just a gun Beretta M9 ,and only 6 bullets in total . They were 7 in number . They were coming closer and closer and just then I heard a ringtone. The ringtone was of my alarm . A man among them said " Get up and shut that alarm off .Its irritating ". And I woke up . My Sister was screaming on me to turn the alarm off. For a while I was thinking about that dream. My sister came into my room . She was getting ready to go to college. She said "We will get late if you don't hurry." "Yeah ...5 minutes, I will be ready." "keep the umbrella I think it may rain today. " It was a month of September which was the ending of the rainy season. " I'll keep it." I got up and get ready . Still the dream didn't got out of my brain. " Come on lets go." My sister shouted . I am Emily White . I live in an Apartment in Manhattan. It is the most densely populated of New York City's 5 boroughs. My life was going smooth and I was satisfied with my life . My mom and Dad lives in Brooklyn . Me and my sister lived together . I am doing graduation in Cambridge University . My sister ,Mia is one year younger to me , yet she take care of me like an older sister .She has a pointed nose and sharp features. She is also skinny . Some times I think she is not my sister , she doesn't look like me at all. But she is the best sister anyone can ever have . I locked the door and gone downstairs using stairs . My sister was waiting for me. The college was in walking distance from our apartment . We walked to the university and while walking I felt that someone was following us. I can't see him clearly but he wore a long jacket and a hat. I ignored it because I already have a going in my mind at that time about university exam. Oh I did forget to tell about the exams .Exams were going on and that day was the last date of examination. I didn't prepared well for it. I hate Physics and I didn't know why they have made Physics compulsory . I was a little stressed at that time. It was the last semester and need good marks to get a nice job. I started to revise after I reached the destination. The University was full of students all around . It fill proud to study at that university. The infrastructure is ancient and was well maintained. I totally forgot about the guy following me. The bell rang and we were headed to our classrooms . After the exam was over I was relieved . The Exam went very well and all were celebrating. Me and my friend Jessica were very happy . There was a party in Brian's house and we all were invited. I and my friend decided to go together. I don't have many friends , since I was an Introvert and hesitate while speaking to any stranger.We went home and started to dress up according to the theme. The theme was 19th century . I wore a beautiful light blue gown. It was elegant ,long , stiffed corner and a beautiful hat that I bought from London . The overall look was amazing , perfectly looking like an 19th century lady. My friend arrived at my house. She wore a light pink gown with corset. She also looked pretty .She was little healthy and chubby but her cute smile always compliment what ever she wear . When she saw me in that gown her reaction was shocking . she said "You look great. .... I am speechless." " thanx" " OK you are ready to go" "yeah just a second I have to grab my purse " She brought her car and her driver drove us to the party. When we reached their , the house was little bit of decorated according to the theme . All the classmate wore 19th century style dresses. Everyone looked good. Edmund Williams was looking handsome and I can't take off my eyes from him.He have long face with sharp cheekbones. I have a crush on him but due to my introvert nature I never even talked to him. He is also the best friend of Brian. " Its amazing isn't it?" Jessica said " Yeah he look attractive" "Who ..Who are you taking about ? "Edmund .. Edmund Williams" "Yeah he is hot" "Why don't you talk to him" "You know I can't" "Come on.." We started to talk to some of the classmate that I prefer to talk. Some of them were busy in dancing and some were busy talking. Suddenly a voice came "Emily" . It was Edmund's voice. My heart started to beat fast. It was the first time I am ever going to talk to him. Listening my name in his voice was pleasing. I turned and he was right behind me . I became nervous . Many things, feeling rush in my head and my heart beat is just increased on its high level . "hey "he said "hi.." breathing heavily "You look beautiful" Oh he said "I am beautiful" at that particular time lots of colors in my mind popped . Suddenly I started feeling that I am the most beautiful girl .He was looking at my eyes and I don't want to take my eye off from him. "Thank you" "May I have the honor to dance with you." These words just took my heart. "yeah...yes" He hold my hand and took me to the dance floor. I can dance well solo but never danced with somebody. It was my first dance with the man I like . It was all like a dream. Some ladies there were jealous of me and staring us. I was dancing with the hottest man in the university . "You dance really well" " No .. I mean it's just you whose leading " "I think we have never talked before .. Did we?" "No .. " "I wonder why" I was blushing and there was a slight smile on my face. "You like dancing" "Yeah I love to dance, it relaxes the mood" "So where you live " "Allen street" "hmm" The song finished and everyone was clapping . He said" We can be in touch " "Yeah sure" We exchanged our number and then his friends called him. I went back to Jessica. She was talking to some friends. The party was almost over. We enjoyed ate some food. When we were out waiting for Jessica's car. Edmund came with his black Jaguar . He asked " Can I drop you home" Jessica made a weird face and said in a light voice "go". "Yeah.." I sat in the car and he started to drive. It was a little chill in the car. The seat cover was made of leather and was so comfortable. The fragrance of his perfume was overpowering the scent around the car. He really smells good. "Allen Street .. " He said " Yeah " " You speak very little" " I don't know what to speak so I prefer not to" I started to look outside to the window. Suddenly everything seem to look so beautiful. "Which block " "What" " Your house .." " Apartment.. 4th " Time just flew away with him fast. We reached and then I said "Bye". When I was near the gate of the apartment he screamed. " What are you doing tomorrow afternoon ." "Nothing much" "Would you like to go out for a lunch." " That would be great" " I will pick you up , Tomorrow 2 p.m." "Ok" He left and I was standing near that gate watching him leave . Suddenly I saw a strange man out there in the dark. He was looking similar to the same man who I saw at the morning following me. I got a little bit frightened . But again ignored it thinking it could be a coincidence. I opened the apartment gate . My mind was occupied with the thought of what to wear tomorrow , where we will go , how things will go. I was so excited that I even didn't noticed that I was in the my apartment. I don't even know when I opened my door and when I got in. "Well how was the party" my sister asked. "It was good " "just good ... I saw a car and a man who came to drop you . He was really handsome." I blushed when she said those words. "He was just here to drop no big deal" " And what about the lunch tomorrow . That's not a big deal too Right." "You heard everything " "That was loud . I think even the neighbours would have heard if they are awake. " It was around 1:00am . "Ok yeah I have a date tomorrow and party gone really well, " "I can see that in your eyes di.. How it started.. " "I think it's too late and I need to sleep we will talk about it tomorrow" "tomorrow ok but I want to hear everything " "ok" "Good night di" "Good night" She gone to her bedroom. I went in my room and changed. I was so tired that it just took me a second to fell asleep.
