Alpha Adrian's POV
It was hard. It was a hard choice to make, and I did not even realize it until I walked back into the house with Kylian—and she was not there.
I did not know just how fond I had grown of her, even though I would rather die than admit it to anyone else but myself.
“Why is she not here? Where is Tori? You said she would be home!” Kylian called after effectively touring the house and not finding her.
Staring at his disappointed face, I tried to remind myself why this was for the best.
I could not keep letting her get too attached. It was bad for her. She would eventually end up hurt and heartbroken when she realized I couldn’t be the man she hoped I could be.
I crouched down a little to look at him, giving him a slight pat.
He was good as new now, if not
