Chapter 4: Dark Knights

Grey's POV

Papunta ako ngayon sa bahay nina Shandra para kunin ang pasalubong ko. Dalawang taon siyang nawala na hindi sinasabi sa akin kung bakit. Kahit si Ate Yen ay hindi sinabi ang dahilan. Maybe it has something to do with their other identity in Japan.

Dalawang taon na din pala nang mangyari iyon. Until now I can't still get it out of my mind. If it was just a coincidence or not. I can't help but reminisce what happen two years ago. How we become Dark Knights.

Nabuo ang Dark Knights dalawang taon na ang nakaraan, malapit na kaming matapos ng first year noon. Yun ang panahon na kilalang-kilala ang Black Angels, isang grupo ng gangster. Kaka-simula lang namin kaya hindi talaga kami kilala at saka hindi kami sumasali sa g**g fight para tumaas ang ranking ng grupo mo sa GSU (Guild Stream Underwolrd). GSU is a place in Covert Town State (CST), a Prefecture in Megacity that is dominated by different gangs, manage by a mysterious g**g. It was created to unite gangs made of students and made those students a school g**g to protect their respective schools. Ito din ang tambayan at lugar kung saan nagtitipon ang mga school gangs. Fights to test the capabilities and skills of members are also held in GSU

Sumali kami para sa pag-hunting kay Snow Flash, ang leader ng Black Angels. Wala kaming masamang binabalak, gusto lang makilala ni Chase si SF at dahil curious din kami kaya sinamahan namin si Chase. Minsan na nakaharap ni Chase si SF, noong iniligtas ng huli ang bunsong kapatid ni Chase na babae. Chase witness how SF fight and he was amazed by SF skills in fighting. 

He wanted to thank SF that time, for saving his sister but like a flash SF vanished. The only thing that left is the white hanky with an imprint of an angel with black wings. A similar hanky is always seen in SF fight scenes. The hanky is as white as snow and it's a trademark since only SF using it out of all the members. The other members are all using black hanky with an imprint of white angel with a shade of black on it's wings. While Winter is using a wristband with an imprint of Black Angels aside from using the same hanky with the others. 

Ang Black Angels ang namayagpag sa GSU ng mga panahon na yun. They are the Top 1 and the best of the best in the GSU. Their identity is a secrets, they are mysterious, mahirap silang matiyempuhan at VIP sila sa GSU. 

Para makapasok sa GSU bumuo din kami ng g**g, without a name, at nagpa-register kami. Hindi required ang name since baguhan kami at hindi naman kami naghahamon ng laban. Mailap at ma-ingat ang BA, kahit anong gawin namin wala kaming makuhang impormasyon maliban sa nakaka-gulat na katotohanan na babae pala ang leader ng mga ito na si SF at ang palagi nitong kasama na si Winter.

Kahit ang GSU walang ma-ibigay na kahit anong clue tungkol sa BA, pero may napansin kaming kakaiba noon. Ibang-iba ang trato ng taga-GSU sa BA, parang may nag-utos sa kanila na palihim na bantayan ang BA lalo na si SF. Walang basta-basta makakalapit sa BA kapag nasa GSU kaya hanggang tingin lang din kami. Pero kahit minsan man lang hindi sila tumingin sa direksyon namin.

Hanggang isang gabi habang nagkakasayahan sa GSU lumabas si SF ng nag-iisa at hindi napansin ng mga bantay. At dahil wala naman ibang ginawa si Chase kundi lihim na matyagan ang mga kilos ni SF kaya napansin niyang lumabas ito. Naisip niya na yun na ang pagkakataon para makalapit kay SF kaya sinundan niya ito sa labas at sumunod din kami. Three hundred meters away from the GSU, the leader of Evil Streak is waiting there. They're in 5th rank and the leader is a brother of Mad Champs leader which is in 2nd rank.

SF fought alone and we are gaping in amazement when she defeated all of them. She as focus on the leader of the Evil Streak and didn't notice one of his comrade started getting up with a knife. He was about to stab SF from the back when Winter warned her.

"Shan-e, watch out!" Sigaw ni Winter na naka-sunod na pala sa amin.

We wake up from our trance when we heard Winter shouted. Because of Winter's warning, like a flash SF avoided the knife. She moves so fast that we almost didn't catch what happened.

The fight between Evil Streak and SF became a brawl when we decided to joined the fight. The other members of Evil Streak that SF defeated are getting up again, all of them have a knife.

Despite everything happened so fast I can't shake off the name that Winter shouted. At that time, my heart beat faster the same time I felt the fear and nervousness that something might happen to SF. I don't understand what I'm feeling. I don't know SF to feel that way, but why do I feel like we have a connection?

"SnowFlash, are you okay?" Tanong ni Chase na unang nakalapit sa kinaroroonan ni SF.

"I'm fine." SF answered. Why do her voice feel somewhat familiar? "Thanks for the help but who are you?" she asked.

Oo nga pala, kahit gabi nakasuot kami ng ray ban at naka-cap kaya hindi kita ang aming mukha.

"It's okay, no need to tell me. Tsk, I'm sure baguhan kayo, hindi sumasali sa laban ng iba ang mga matagal na dito lalo na kung laban namin o laban ko mismo. Thanks for being a Knights, I can't say a knight in shining armor though because we are not in fairytales. Maybe a dark knight is a very fitting name," she look at Winter at nodded. "Goodbye dark knights!" she waved and walked back towards GSU.

Pagkatapos ng pangyayaring iyon lagi na kaming pumupunta sa GSU pero yung gabing iyon na pala ang huling pagkakataon na makikita namin si SF, pati na si Winter. After a week the other four members of Black Angels came, they received a note at that time and after reading it they left. Since then they never came back, Black Angels vanished like a thin smoke, no one knows the reason. Nawalan na din kami ng pagkakataon na malaman kung sino talaga sila. We only have one clue SF name is Shane, since then all girls who bear a name Shane, we check it out, but still we haven't found out.

One time when we're in GSU, we heard some guys that belong to a different gangs mocked the Black Angels. Hindi nakatiis si Chase at pinaregister niya kami sa isang laban, our very first fight in GSU. Because SF called as Dark Knights before, Chase decided to use that name. Since then Dark Knights never lost a fight, which made us the first in rank and the best in GSU. That happened only because of the disappearance of Black Angels. At one point, we owed it to them.

All members of Dark Knights came from a well-know and respected family. People said we have everything anyone wish of. Gwapo, mayaman, sikat, nag-aaral sa pinaka-eksklusibong paaralan at hinahabol ng mga babae. Though we love to play with girls, we don't need girls who treat us like a trophy. We are looking for a girl who will accept us for who we are. Accept our flaws, imperfections, secrets, and our worst. A girl who will truly love us despite all of that, and of course we should be in love with that girl too. 

Noone of us who had a serious relationship. The girls who link with us are the ones who came to us. When we feel bored, we play with them. While Chase is rumored to be in love with SF that's why he's looking for her, same with Vash to Winter. But that's not true, we know Chase better.

Our leader is Chase, Rayon Chase Scamper, he earned the nickname King Knight being the leader. He's known as a royal snob because he seldom smiles. He's kind, but those kindness almost cannot be seen if you don't really know him.

Vash Andrei Florencio or Vash, Chase best buddy, nicknamed Silent Knight. He earned it because he's a silent type of guy. He's quiet most of the times.

Xanthel Jhon Andrada, X for us, nicknamed Genius Knight. He earned it simply because he's the genius among us. Unlike other geniuses that looks like a nerd or a geek, X is diffirent. He's cool, madaldal at mahilig din sa mga kalokohan. Pero pagdating sa seryosong bagay at usapan, he's perfectionist and very cautious in everything. For him 'there is a place for everything and everything has to have its place'. 

Ashton Keir Carver or Ash, nicknamed Reckless Knight and the youngest. He earned it because he's reckless, adventurous, and easygoing. He's always curious and willing to try everything he haven't tried before. Thrill and excitement is his world.

Josh Bryan Sorrento or Josh, nicknamed Friendly Knight, Yana's twin. He earned it because he's the most approachable among us. He's always willing to help others and he's easy to please. Madali din siyang ngumiti kaya bihira ang natatakot sa kanya.

The last but not the least, it's me, Shawn Grey Pierre, Grey for those who are close to me. Shandra and I are cousins. I earned the nickname Sly Knight because I'm playful. They actually said because it's the way I grin as if insinuating that I know some secret knowledge that may be harmful or embarrassing.

Lahat kami ay magkakaibigan na simula elementary, si Chase at Vash childhood buddy na talaga ganun din kami ni Josh. Nabuo ang barkada namin ng mag-aaral kami ng elementary sa iisang school, doon namin nakilala sina Xanthel at Ash pati na sina Vash at Chase. Nang mag fourth grade ay nagkahiwalay kami, sa LA nagpatuloy ng pag-aaral sina Chase at Vash. Lumipat din si Josh sa Madrid, naiwan kaming tatlo at naisipan naming mag-transfer sa CAU. At noong mag-umpisa na kami ng highschool naisipan nga ng tatlo na dito na uli mag-aaral kaya kumpleto kami uli.
