Transformation

Alexis — The next morning I was rudely awakened by Jenny. She came into my room loudly and threw the shutters open. I groaned and pulled the covers over my head to block out the light. I don’t know what I did to deserve this cruel punishment, “Rise and shine buttercup, we have so much work to do and so little time,” she said as she yanked the covers off of me. “Why do you hate me so much?” I asked her. “Excuse me?! You are the one that asked me to get you ready for your first day at your internship. This whole thing is your idea.” She said to me. “I said tomorrow though, this is still time to sleep,” I grumbled. I was not a morning person. Jenny on the other hand looks like she already had more caffeine than one person should have in their entire lifetime. “If you don’t get up soon we won’t have enough time to get everything settled. Including get some photo identification prepared.” She said to me. “Fine, I’m getting up,” I said. I looked at the time and it was only five in the morning. How long was she really expecting this to take. Some men’s dress clothes and a wig, I was really hoping not to have to chop off my hair. I would if I absolutely had to, but it was not ideal for me. “Uhh, you’re not just dressing as a man. You want to be convincing, and to top it off you are going to be my cousin. Which means you’re not some average guy, you will have to have style,” she said to me. I knew she was going to help me, but I didn’t know she was going to be taking it this seriously. She walked outside for a second only to come back with racks of men’s clothing. “Ok, so I didn’t have time to get much, but this will at least give us an idea of what style we are going for,” she said. The room was half filled with clothing. I’m not exactly sure what she would consider a lot of clothing. I sighed, this really was going to be an all day event. I didn’t even like trying on a million clothes as a girl, this was going to suck. I had a feeling that this was going to be the hardest part of my plan. “Well let’s get started!” Jenny clapped her hands. I went to the dressing room to put on the first business attire outfit she had picked out. It felt like it was falling off me. I looked in the mirror and I looked like a child paying dress up. “Hey Jen, I don’t think this is the right size for me,” I told her as I walked out of the bathroom. “Of course they aren’t going to fit you right, they are made for men.” She rolled her eyes at me and then started tugging and pulling on the clothes I was wearing. “I like the colors on you. We are just going to have to get it tailored to fit you enough, without showing any curves.. well, we are kind of lucky there.” She said staring at my body. “Lucky to have curves?” I asked her confused. She started laughing for a good minute. I have no idea what I had said that was so funny. When she recovered enough to say something she put both her hands on my shoulders and looked me straight in the face. “Oh Alexis, that is one thing we don’t have to worry about, and it’s going to make this whole thing a lot easier since we don’t have to hide what you don’t got,” she pointed to my chest. I gasped and covered my chest with my arms. I might not be big, but I wasn’t completely flat. After hours of trying on outfits, followed by hours of working with wigs and makeup she said that I was finally finished. “My masterpiece! You know it’s almost a shame, if this wasn’t a disguise, I would have loved posting your transformation. No one would even guess that you were a girl!” She said to me. We went to the full length mirror to take a look at the new me. I was shocked to find that I really did look like a boy. I couldn’t exactly say man, I was still small and didn’t have strong features or facial hair, but I could pass as a teenager who graduated early and had a gift. That cover would probably help people leave me alone as well. “Definitely more of a pretty boy than hot man,” she said looking at me. “But you could definitely pass as a cousin of mine.” — Jackson — I had asked a few investigators that works for me find out about what happened at the club last night. Who exactly that piece of trash that got thrown out was, and asked them to find out if there were any victims. I told myself it had nothing to do with the girl, I was just being proactive about preventing any scandals. I received a text saying that they would be sending some emails with what they had found out so far about the incident. I opened my laptop and checked out my personal email. When I opened the file, I was actually shocked to see so many pages, for just a few hours of searching. Turns out the man was from a well to do family, not nearly to my level but enough to get him into places and cause trouble. We actually had some partnerships with a couple of his family’s businesses. I might just have to review those companies. Being associated with that kind of person was against my morals. About ten pages had information of his background, family and business. I scanned for any information of what had happened last night. Besides what I had already witnessed, it didn’t have much information on what lead up to it. It said a girl with long brown hair had gone to security to tell them there was a man harassing and threatening her and she had left him on the floor. I scanned a little further to see if they had anymore information on the girl, but that was it. They said she left right after reporting him and they never took her name or any information. I felt that was negligent considering she was a victim at their establishment. You would think they would have wanted to follow up with her. I emailed the investigator back and asked him if he could follow up on what happened with the girl and if the could get a name or contact information. After I had finished with my morning emails I got dressed and found Ryan waiting for me in the living room. He let me know that the driver was waiting for us downstairs. We headed downstairs and off to the company. When we got there we headed straight for my office. It was going to be a long day. A few business meetings and getting ready for the new hires. The interns I was leaving up to Ryan. He could handle placing them in the departments that needed them and getting them all settled. I had no patience to handle new and young people that needed hand holding for the first couple of months. “How many interns did you hire for this year?” I asked Ryan. “There were more applicants this year, than the past several years, but I narrowed it down to the top twenty applicants,” he told me while he was flipping through their files. “I have some really high hopes this year, maybe we will get more than one to stick through the year. We even had one that was good enough to enter our tech department.. and Alex.. I forget the last name.”
