I know it was a bit of a shock what I had just told Jenny, but I didn’t know she would go into a state of shock. She just sat there for five minutes staring at me. I waited for it all to sink in for her.

“But, you want to become a boy?” She gulped.

“Not become a boy, just disguise myself as one until I can prove to everyone that I can make it on my own,” I said.

She nodded slowly. “So.. you’re going to go undercover for a year?”

“Exactly!” I replied.

She looked at me for a good bit, “You know, it’s going to be very difficult to pass you off as a boy.. You are very small.. and pretty..”

“I mean I’m going to be going into tech, it’s not like I have to act like some macho manly man. I’ll just be some young genius.” I said. It’s not like it’s going to hurt my ego at all if other people that I was a sissy.

“I guess that’s true, but we will still have to make you fashionable, since you’re going to be my cousin,” she laughed.

“I guess I’ll leave my wardrobe in your hands then, just so that your cousin won’t embarrass you,” I said back to her.

“So do you know what companies you are going to be applying at?” She asked me.

“I’m going to start at with the Thorns tech company. They have one of the largest tech companies around, and they are so big that it will be easier for me to blend without getting too close to anyone. Also if I can make my name there, Grandfather will have to see how much value I have for our family’s company,” I said to her.

“Ok! Tomorrow night we will get you all ready for your new life, but for tonight, we are going to go out as BFF’s and have some fun! This might be the last time we will be able to do this in a while.” Jenny grabbed my arm and dragged me to her room.

When we got to her bedroom she went straight for her closet. She emerged quickly with twenty different dresses. She tossed them all on the bed.

“Since this is a farewell party to you, I’m going to let you have first dibs on whatever dress you’d like to wear tonight,” Jenny said to me. “But may I recommend this one?” She said holding up a short black dress.”

“Do you have anything with a little more fabric?” I asked her. “Or where are the pants?”

“Don’t be so lame! This is an amazing dress and there is more than enough fabric to cover up your lack of curves,” she tossed the dress to me and grabbed a short blue one for herself.

I went into the bathroom when she was finished changing to change into the dress that she had picked out for me. when I put it on I was actually shocked to see it did cover everything. Just great, she was right, I have no curves.

I came out of the bathroom and Jenny let out a whistle. “Yup, this one was made for you.”

She grabbed her makeup bag and dragged me back into the bathroom so we could hurry and finish getting ready. After our hair and makeup was finished. She grabbed the heels for a finishing touch.

“There! We are ready to go break some hearts and have some fun!” We looked at ourselves in the mirror and then headed out.

“Where are we going?” I asked her.

“To a club,” She said to me.

Of course we’re going to a club. I should have known when she said she wanted to have some fun. She knew I wasn’t much of a club girl, too many people and too loud, but she was willing to do a lot for me. So the least I could do was go keep an eye on her.

Her family’s limo was waiting for us downstairs. The limo driver opened the door and we got in. After Jenny told him where we were heading he headed to her favorite dancing club. It was only about twenty minutes away from her family’s home. When we got there the line was huge, with people waiting to be let in. We got out of the limo and Jenny walked to the front of the line, with me following behind her. We got a few dirty looks from some of the people waiting in the line, but Jenny didn’t care at all.

When we got to the front of the line they let us right in, no questions asked. Jenny was known here.

“Ok, you wanna relax for a bit or would you like to dance?” She asked me.

“I am a little tired, so maybe I’ll relax and grab a drink,” I said to her.

“Ok, grab me a coke for later, I’ll find you in a few minutes, I want to see if the guy I met last week is back. I’ve been coming every day this week just hoping he’d be here again,” she giggled.

“Oh, this explains so much,” I laughed. “I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!”

“When I look like this, do you really need luck?” She asked with a smirk on her face.

“Definitely, he might be too intimidating by your radiating beauty,” I said with a serious face.

We both stared at each other for a couple of seconds and then started cracking up.

“I’ll grab your coke and be in the back,” I said.

“Thanks!” She said to me.

I went to the bar to grab a couple of cokes and maybe a snack. Who knows, if she found her dream guy, I might be waiting for a very long time.

As I sat there people watching, I saw that Jenny did find her guy. Well, maybe it wasn’t the guy she was talking about, but she did find a guy.

She looked my way and gave me a thumbs up and a smile. It looks like it was the guy that she was looking for. Hopefully he was a nice guy, Jenny tends to fall in love easily.

I guess I will be enjoying my own company tonight. I might have to place another order. I flagged down one of the waiters and he headed over to my table.

“Is there anything that I can get for you?” He asked me.

“Yeah, could I get a pizza?” I asked.

“Absolutely! Group size or personal?” He asked me.

“Looks like personal tonight,” I told him.

“Let me go place the order and it should be out in about twenty minutes,” he said to me.

“Sounds good,” I said and then got on my phone.

I was scrolling through the Thorn company listings, I saw exactly what I was looking for, an entry opening for their tech department. So far things are going to be easier than I thought it was going to be. I started filling out the application form, and uploaded my resume, making sure that I kept all my information for Alex and not Alexis. After I double checked all my information I hit the send button.

Now the only thing I had to do was wait and keep my fingers crossed and hope that I got it!
