“SO, DID YOU HEAR WE’VE picked up a special contract and are making a course change?” Deshonik asked Zara.
“No... that’s not like the captain, unless he’s got a lot of profit to make.” She laughed as she replaced the cover panel on the bulkhead.
“Check that now.” She said to Deshonik.
The tall lanky grey-skinned Sevoni punched a few commands into the food receptacle, and took out a steaming bowl of foul smelling soup.
“Much better.” He smiled through a lipless mouth.
“Good. I hope you enjoy it... it smells like sewer water” Zara crinkled up her nose. “Give me a good T-bone steak any day.” She sighed sadly.
“You must miss your Earth very much.” Deshonik observed, noticing the Human’s emotional response, as her eyes became moist and she had a faraway look
