I saw the smirk on the witches face at our pleas for help and I felt the doubt twist in my gut.
Liberty ran over to Jake who I had placed on the floor outside the door and she knelt down beside him.
“I don’t know what Lisa did to you, I know that you are there somewhere. I can’t bring you back alone and I know you will go mad at me for releasing my mother but…..What do I do Jake?,” she said as she trembled holding his hand.
I watched as the uncertainty and the pain so fresh etched in her expressions as the tears fell silently down her face. My heart ached as I watched her struggle with the decision she felt she had no choice to make.
