Liberty’s POV
My blood ran cold at the sound of Jess screams, I watched as Milo took off in the direction of the screams. I looked back at the now closed door briefly and my stomach flipped inside. “Please mother, for once be on my side”, I said as I closed my eyes and took in a much needed breath.
I heard Milo growl erupt from him and I knew he had shifted and it sent a shiver up my spine. “Jake if you can hear me, come back to me”, I called out and then turned and walked down the corridor to the door.
I saw Chance, Milo’s wolf standing guard of the door and Ruby, Jess’s wolf, lying on the floor beside him. I could see that she was stil;l breathing and I sighed in relief to see that she was just unconscious.
