Liberty’s Pov
Nothing ached more in my body to make this work, I watched intently as Lisa's body laid limp in front of us.
I stared at my mother who had continued to chant with her eyes closed but I could see the tears stream down her face.
Each moment that passed laid heavy inside me that when Lisa's eyes fluttered open my heart raced and I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding.
“Milo get a doctor”, Yelled Jake who had been standing behind me.
Relief hit me like a wave crashing into my soul as I heard the gasp from Lisa as she breathed her first breath.
“We did it!”, I cried with Joy
My mother’s eyes opened and her look darted to Lisa and I saw that relief had washed over her the same way it had me.
“We really did it”, she whispered.
We let our hands go
