Liberty’s Pov
A Day had passed and silence still lingered within the pack.
As we gathered to watch Harris be put to his death I couldn’t help feel the pang of guilt lay heavy in my gut.
“Are you sure you want this to happen?,” Question Jake.
I looked up at him and saw his beauty shine in the light like a dazzling beacon and I nodded.
“He did not show mercy and he did not care”, I said.
The words came from me but the feeling they had was still raw.
Jake’s hand slid into mine, squeezing it gently as we stood and waited for Harris to come out.
“Is it not the right decision?,” I asked.
Jake glanced at me and I could feel his hesitation before he spoke.
“I think you would need to be certain this is what you want and what you want is what I want,” He said.
