He pulled back when I was breathless. He said, “They were cowards. You are the most beautiful woman in every room.” I blushed, “You’re biased.” Blade spoke, “Is right.” I rolled my eyes, “You don’t like women Blade…. you’re biased too.” Serion laughed, “We don’t have to be attracted to women to admit when we see a beautiful woman.” Both were still adjusting their pants. I said, “Which is why I was the ONLY person in the gym during these things. I’m so attractive…. clearly that’s it.” Blade said, “Is silly.” I snorted, “Is accurate.” Blade ruffled my hair. We walked back. Jackson and Molly were waiting. Jackson said, “You can send she wolfs into heat?” I nodded, “I can do it intentionally too. I didn’t actually mean to do that. I just didn’t try to control the magic.” Bjourn walked up, “And we are all SO glad you didn’t little sister. That was intense.” Astrid snorted, “I’ll say. We need to schedule that at least once a month, Hales.” I blushed. Logan said, “I second that.” Benjamin walked up, “Thirded.” Marcus said, “Fourthed. Let me speak for everyone else and say you’ll get all nine of us to agree.” Evin laughed, “Yes, you will.” He hugged me. I was passed around all my brothers for hugs. Marcus was last. He whispered, “We missed you here, little one.” I smiled, “I’m here now. I missed you guys too.” Eric grabbed me the second Marcus let me go. I turned and studied Molly. I bit my lip. She was glowing. She locked on my eyes with a knowing gaze.
She said, “I’m going to steal Haley for a moment. I need her to fix my dress and hair.” I laughed and grabbed her hand. I popped her to my room. She said, “I’m glowing. Aren’t I?” I nodded, “You are. I also sense you’re having twins.” Molly said, “WHAT?” I smiled, “Fairy thing.” She hugged me. I said, “Were you planning on more kids?” Molly nodded, “Yes, I’d actually stopped my birth control in anticipation of my next heat.” I smiled, “I’m glad you’re happy.” I snapped her dress clear of mud and fixed her hair and mine. I popped us back to the group. Jackson and Eric scooped us up. We made our way to the head table. Cason stepped up in our path. He smiled, “Princess.” I said, “Cason, this is my mate Alpha Eric Conners. His brother Alpha Jackson Conners and his mate Luna Molly Conners.” Cason said, “Pleasure.” I raised an eyebrow at him. Eric growled. He looked at me, “I’d like to speak with you after the feast.” I said, “You can come up to the head table. Excuse us.” I pulled Eric past him. My brothers were all watching us. We sat down in the seats of honor. My dad yelled, “Dies Festi sit COEPTO (Let the feast BEGIN!)” Eric and I were served first. Eric put one arm around me and pulled me close. I looked up and noticed he was glaring murderously at Cason, Kace, and Phillip. Who, to my surprise, were glaring back at him.
I looked at Astrid and Torvi. Both frowned. I turned and put both my hands on Eric’s face and pulled him into a kiss. He was rigid with anger at first but relaxed into our kiss. Gunner yelled, “TAH!” Everyone else yelled back, “TAH! TAH!” I pulled back and looked into his eyes. I linked him, “Are you ok?” Eric answered, “They want what is mine. You are mine, and I’ll kill them if they touch you.” I linked back, “They have never done more than shake my hand. Cason has f****d my cousin, Bexley, you’ll meet her soon. Actually he’s f****d three of cousins. Bexley, Idel, and Hexxi. Kace creeped me out so much, I had Gunner teach me my computer skills. Phillip…. gave me a couple of riding lessons that were unnecessary. We aren’t friends.” Eric kissed me lightly and linked, “They still want you, and they see me in their way.” I said, “Seems unlikely. I’ve been here all this time, and they’ve never expressed interest.” Eric said, “Your brothers threatened them.” I raised an eyebrow, “And they didn’t ever threaten you? I know that can’t be true.” Eric smirked, “They did.” I smiled, “I want a man who wants me despite the overprotectiveness of the brothers that come along with me. I want you. Only you.” Eric kissed me and linked, “That’s good. Because I’d rip anyone apart who tried to come between you and I.” I linked back, “Watch out, because so will I.” I winked at him.
We got back to our meal. I linked him, “Wanna know a secret?” He linked, “Always, Angel.” I smirked, “We are going to have a new nieces or nephews. Twins are coming.” Eric smirked, “Which one of your brother's mates is pregnant?” I linked, “Oddly, none of them.” Eric dropped his fork. I laughed. Everyone watched us with interest. Eric linked me, “Molly’s having twins?” I nodded. He said, “Jackson will be next level excited.” I smiled, “I’m glad. Molly was happy about it.” After we finished. I stood and held my hand out for Eric. He took it and I Ied him to the fire. He took me in his arms knowing I wanted to dance. I laughed as he spun me around under the stars. We made our way back to the table. Harper was dancing with Calista as my other brothers were dancing with their mates. It was just Gunner, Eric and I sitting at the table. I smiled, “Not dancing?” Gunner smiled, “I just sat back down. Do I get to ask why you’ve never released magic at one of these before? It was….an experience.” I laughed, “Because I have to have s*x with my mate on the earth under the stars to unlock my full powers. The magic called to me and I welcomed it by releasing it.” Gunner raised a glass to me, “And we welcome you to release it…. all the time.” I laughed, “I’ll keep that in mind.”
Gunner stiffened so did Eric. A throat cleared behind me. I turned to see Cason standing behind us. He said, “Princess…. may I have a dance?” Gunner said, “Are you f*****g with me right now?” I said, “No, I will not dance with you Cason. This is my mating ceremony. The only men I will dance with besides my mate are my brothers, or my new brother-in-law. Continue to insult my mate, and I promise you…. you will not like where that goes for you.” Cason backed up, “No insult was meant.” I hissed, “Liar.” Gunner smirked. Cason said, “I merely wanted to dance with you.” I said, “You want to push this Cason? Here and now? You know that asking the member of the royal family who’s mating ceremony and banquet this is, is in poor form. Standing up here in front of my mate asking me to dance….is rude. Walk away now.” Cason clenched his hands, “It’s just a dance.” He held out his hand. Everything stopped. I looked down in shock. Gunner stood and so did Eric. Jackson appeared out of nowhere. I couldn’t stop my eyes from turning gold. I grabbed his hand and flipped him onto his back. I yelled, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! YOU HAVE IGNORED ME FOR SEVENTEEN YEARS! ALMOST EIGHTEEN! AND NOW AT MY MATE BANQUET…...YOU MAKE A SCENE…. YOU DISRESPECT MY MATE! YOU OF ALL PEOPLE! YOU’VE f****d SEVERAL OF MY FAIRY COUSINS ON MY BIRTHDAY! EVEN MY LAST DAMN BIRTHDAY YOU f****d IDEL! SERIOUSLY?!” I lost it. He’d gotten back up. I tackled him and punched him.
He tried to fight me back. I blocked every shot he’d taken when he was ripped away from me by a wolf. A big black angry wolf. Thor ferociously bit Cason in the arm. He threw him across the field and shifted back. I snapped him clothes. Eric spoke in a menacing tone, “If you ever look at her like you just did again. I WILL tear you limb from limb. SHE IS MINE! Don’t EVER come near her again. Are we clear?” Cason stood, “You can’t order that.” My eyes went wide. Eric laughed humorlessly, “Oh yes, I can. I’m her mate. My job is to protect her. You are trying to ruin this for her. Leave. Or you will bleed to death in this field as my jaw rips your neck open.” I knew my brothers were behind us. Jackson was beside Eric. Bjourn took my hand and whispered, “et qui paulo leniret. Non tamen una de loco convivii intravit reliquit. Conterent illum ne hoc vos (calm down little one. We still have a portion of the banquet left. Do not let him ruin this for you two). I whispered back, “facis quod vis occidisti illi Astrid (you would've killed him for doing that to Astrid).” Bjourn chuckled, “Yes, but then he would’ve asked Astrid to dance. He didn’t ask Eric to dance...he asked you.” My mom grabbed my hand and led me away from the group.
She looked into my eyes, “Your mate, your brothers, and father will handle this.” I said, “I know.” She smiled, “Yet your eyes still glow with anger.” I hissed, “It’s not fair! They’ve all ignored me in a romantic sense for years. I’ve waited to meet Eric for several years and now….” Angry tears filled my eyes, “Now they try to disrespect him and take this moment from me.” My mom smiled, “Rejection whether it is actual or perceived is hard to deal with. They hurt your feelings and you just met Eric. You’re very protective of him right now because of both sides of your blood. Sweetie, there is no one who can ruin this night for you. They might cause a hiccup, but unless you allow them to ruin it…. all it will ever be is a hiccup.” I closed my eyes and counted to ten. I took several deep breaths. My mom said, “We still have to accept him into our bloodline. That will help your Hackura side settle because you will feel him strongly afterwards.” Her words soothed me. I opened my eyes. She smiled, “There are those beautiful green eyes. Come on sweetie.” I held her hand and we’d only taken two steps when Eric appeared fresh blood on his chest. He looked me up and down.
I smiled, “What?” Eric growled, “He tried to hit you.” I said, “He couldn’t take me Eric. He didn’t land a single hit.” His hands ran over my forearm. I’d blocked two shots with it, and there was a slight bruise. I healed it quickly. Eric said, “He bruised you…” I kissed him. I said, “Let’s not worry about him any longer. Tonight is still for us.” Eric put his forehead against mine. He said, “That was hot, Angel. Seeing you fight for me…. you kicked his ass.” I said, “You nearly ripped his arm off.” Eric growled, “He upset you, and he tried to hurt you. He’s lucky he’s not dead.” I raised an eyebrow. Eric shrugged, “He’s not dead, Angel.” I didn’t comment. I didn’t really care if Cason was dead or not. I just led him back to the banquet. Eric led me back to where we’d danced as all eyes were on us. He spun around. He was a very good dancer. I smiled. I loved dancing. He kissed me at the end of the song. Everyone yelled, “TAH!” Everything got back on track after that. I cuddled up against Eric back at our table. After another hour my dad stood, “Bring your mate Princess.” I grabbed Eric's hand. He linked me, “What now?” I linked, “You’ll be accepted into our bloodline so you and I will have a Hackura bond.” Eric nearly stalled his walk. He grinned broadly, “Really?” I smiled, “Yes.”
We walked up the platform with my dad. My dad spoke, “My daughter, my princess, the light of our realm has found her mate. She accepted him into her heart and bares his mark. She shared her light with him, binding them for all eternity. She marked him as her own. So we as a family accept him into our blood line. Sanguis sanguinem meum, et sanguis meus elegit nos sentiunt inter se sentire, sicut et nos (blood of my blood and blood of my choice feel us as we feel each other.)” Eric gripped my hands tightly as our bond grew and deepened. He would be my strongest bond now. I could still feel other connections as I always did. No wonder my brothers always knew when their mates needed them or were angry with them. I felt complete. My mom was right. It settled my Hackura side being able to feel Eric this way. Eric was smiling broadly as my dad yelled, “HEY TAH!” Eric howled and everyone yelled, “TAH!” back. Eric slammed his lips on mine. He pulled back and linked me, “Is it bad form to disappear right now?” I smirked, “No.” Out loud he said, “Pop us out of here Angel.” I popped us to my treehouse on the ocean. It was my favorite one. Eric looked around, “You brought me to your favorite treehouse.” I nodded, “I will take you to the others, but I wanted you to see this one first. I wrote so many letters to you in this place.”
Eric came over to me slowly. He wrapped his arms around me. He said, “I treasured every single letter. I kept them all.” I smiled, “So did I.” He looked at me, “When you create these in my territory, please include me and Caleb in them.” I frowned, “Why Caleb?” Eric said, “If I’m unable to find you, or he needs to make sure you are safe…. I need him to be able to do that.” I sighed, “You want to ask me to include Marshall then too…. don’t you?” Eric smiled, “I would, but I can live with just Caleb and I.” I laughed, “I’ll do one better. I’ll include you, Caleb, Marshall, and the girls in most of them. One though…. I want just for us…. Our special place that only we can go to.” Eric smiled, “I would like that very much Angel.” He kissed me softly. He unzipped my skirt and it fell to the ground. He ripped my top off. I laughed, “Hey!” Eric smirked, “You picked a halter top. That wouldn’t have fallen off.” I smirked, “Duly noted.” He ran his hands over my body. He circled his thumb around my n****e. I moaned into his mouth against his smirk. I snapped him naked, and he carried me into the bedroom. We spend hours tangled up in each other. We fell apart eventually in a sweaty mess. Eric said, “I love this bond. Our lust amplifies and bounces off each other.” I smiled, “Yes, it does.” He kissed me again. He pulled back, “God, I want you again, but we need to get back. I’m sure your family is looking for you.” I snorted, “My family is busy f*****g. Your brother might be looking for us though. I didn’t show them their room.” Eric said, “Your mother showed them their room.” I smiled and popped us to my room in the castle.
Eric said, “Molly is asleep. Jackson was waiting to hear from me.” I nodded and popped to bed. Eric jumped on me. He smiled, “Popping away from me is a dangerous game.” I giggled. He had no idea the game I had planned for him. I was certain it was going to be Bexley’s first homework assignment when she came to see me next. She loved to have fun. I snuggled into him and fell asleep. I woke up to Eric’s mouth on mine. I could never get enough of him. He rolled me on top of him and I brought us both to a slow sweet release. We got in the shower. He had me pinned to the wall in seconds. He whispered, “You’re too damn irresistible.” I smiled, “Have you seen yourself lately?” It took us several hours to make it downstairs for breakfast. Everyone smiled at us when we walked down. My dad said, “Now, we can have breakfast.” Eric said, “I apologize. I didn’t realize anyone was waiting on us to start.” My dad said, “Oh don’t worry. When Bjourn and Astrid had their ceremony, we waited for them to have breakfast until dinner. His little brothers were not amused with him.” Bjourn laughed, “I was plenty amused.” Marcus snorted, “We know.” Everyone laughed. We ate breakfast together. Eric kissed my neck. I sighed. I knew he wanted to go back to his realm. I guess it was mine too. Nope...I’d claim them both. This would always be my realm too.
I said, “We’ve got to get back.” Marcus kissed Torvi, and Bjourn kissed Astrid. They stood. I looked at them curiously. Marcus said, “You didn’t think you’d be there alone did you sister? We have shifts set up.” I laughed, “You guys!” Gunner said, “I’m looking forward to meeting these wolves. I’ve only met a few over the years. Bjourn speaks highly of Eric’s gym facility. None of us can wait to see it.” I smiled, “Well, ok.” My mom laughed, “We will see you for Sunday dinners.” I nodded, “I’ll be here.” My dad opened a portal and came over to hug me. He whispered, “luna et stellae te amo ut reginae (I love you to the moon and stars Princess).” I smiled, “quia amo. Et desidero tata (as I love. I'll miss you daddy).” My dad squeezed me, “numquam longe princeps. Haec est tua fata docebo. Scio te non fulgebunt sicut et facitis et nos huc (I’ll never be far away princess. This is your destiny. I know you'll shine there as you do for us here).” I smiled and stepped back. Eric took my hand and we stepped back through with Marcus, Bjourn, Jackson, and Molly.
We stepped into the living room. Harold said, “That was a quick ceremony…. banquet thing...whatever…” Jackson said, “No way. Eric, it's only been four hours here!” Eric laughed, “I know. I know how time works there. I’ve told you.” Jackson said, “I know but…. we hunted a boar…. we killed boars…. we roasted them…. there were fights….drums….paintings….heats….” Harold said, “Heats?” I said, “Oh...that would be me. I sent Molly into a short heat.” Darrin said, “Did you? Do me a favor then…. mini heat for Amber too please.” Amber swatted him. Her and Tabby were dressed up. Tabby smiled, “This is great! We thought we’d be having our girls’ night without you.” I laughed, “Oh?” Tabby nodded, “First girls’ night with all four mates! OH this is exciting. Go change! We will wait.” I said, “Where are we going?” Tabby smiled, “Dancing. Eric owns a club.” I squealed, “I love dancing.” Jackson said, “Really? I hadn’t noticed that.” I frowned, “Really?” Eric laughed, “No, Angel. He noticed; he was being sarcastic.” I smiled and snapped my fingers. Eric growled. I smiled, “Ready!” Molly said, “Me next.” Tabby said, “God, I love her Harold. I do. That’s a stunning dress, Hales!” I was in a gold sparkly short dress with a plunging neckline. I snapped Molly into a tight red dress with a criss cross halter and small cutouts on her waist. Tabby said, “That is one hundred percent how I will get ready from now on.”
Jackson growled and pulled Molly to him. He said, “I’m sending warriors with you.” Tabby said, “Now Jackson. You know the rules. Girls only. That rule was even established before I showed up. Goes for the Hackura guard too.” I stifled a laugh, “Looks like you’re coming with us Sasha.” Sasha stepped forward. Harold winced. She laughed. I turned around looking at Sash questioningly. Sasha shrugged, “I might have done recon on the area your brothers frequent, and I ran across…. him.” Tabby growled and kissed Harold hard. She turned towards Sasha and growled, “MINE!” Sasha said, “I have my mate now too. It was a one off.” Tabby seemed to get a hold of herself. We waited. Tabby nodded, “As long as you keep your hands off my man.” Sasha said, “I give you, my word.” Tabby nodded and headed outside. I kissed Eric. Blade said, “Don’t like.” I pulled back and squeezed his hand. I offered, “Sash is coming with us. We will be fine.” Marcus said, “I’d pity anyone who thought they could take their group.” We all smiled. Tabby yelled, “LET’S GO! LUNAS NIGHT OUT!” I laughed and headed out, “Do I still count even though I’m not the Luna yet?” Before anyone could answer I felt Eric behind me, and he caged me against the SUV. His lust was skyrocketing. He said, “I’ll make you my Luna tomorrow if you want.” I smiled, “Whenever you want to have the Luna ceremony, Eric is fine with me.” He kissed me, “Good. We can start planning tomorrow then.”
He reluctantly let me go. Tabby was driving the SUV and we headed off. I asked, “How did you get them to agree to no guards?” Tabby said, “I believe that was Molly.” Molly laughed, “I’m a beta’s daughter, so is Amber. I dared them to tell me we couldn’t handle ourselves. They need their brother time; we need our girl time.” Tabby asked, “How many guards do you have?” I answered, “Four. Blade, Sasha, Thomas, and Javi.” Tabby nodded. We made it to the club and were waved in. There was a private VIP area we were in. I had a couple strawberry martini’s Sasha remained alert while the other girls and I drank. We made our way to the dance floor. Someone grabbed my hand, “Wanna dance?” I said, “No.” Two men moved in front of him, “Move your hands off the future Luna, now.” He dropped my hand as if it burned him and ran away. I smiled, “So…. there are pack members in the club.” Tabby laughed, “That might have been another factor in how they got the guys to agree. The pack warriors are bouncers, and pack members frequent the places we go.” I nodded. We danced for a couple hours and had a few more drinks. Tabby had stopped drinking a while ago. Even still Sasha held her hands out for the keys when we left. To my surprise Tabby gave them to her without a word. We all got in. We were halfway back when a bad feeling hit me. I yelled, “STOP THE CAR!”
Sasha hit the brakes. Immediately. Tabby said, “Are you going to be sick?” Amber said, “She looked fine.” I got out and went to stand in the road. The smell of magic was practically overwhelming. I almost gagged. The car revved. I turned. I said, “Sasha, turn off the car.” She yelled, “I can’t!” My eyes went wide, “GET OUT OF THE CAR! NOW!” Tabby flew out along with Sasha. Amber fell out. I yelled, “MOLLY!” She screamed, “I’m stuck!” The car flew forward. I popped into the car as it flew off the cliff. I popped Molly and I back to safety, where the girls were. I frowned, “I think you girls need to shift. Molly, get out of here! Run back to the club.” Molly said, “I won’t leave you.” I heard a laugh behind me. I got in her face, “Go get us help.” I whispered, “You need to protect your children.” She looked into my eyes then nodded. She shifted and took. I turned to see several witches had come out. I linked Eric, “We need you. We are being attacked.” Eric growled, “WHAT?! WHERE?” I said, “Halfway between the club and the pack house.” Eric hissed, “In no man’s land! f**k!” A warlock said, “A fairy. How obnoxious.” I said, “Not just any fairy. I’m the Princess.” There eyes widened. One laughed, “Ahh the little lamb comes to the slaughter.” I said, “That’s not a nice thing to say about yourself. Accurate but not nice.” I saw the glint of a gun a second before anyone else. It was aimed at Tabby. I tackled her to the ground wincing as I felt the bullet go through my arm. I hissed, “SERIOUSLY?! Iron laced bullets?! You didn’t even know I was f*****g here!”
