Discoveries Pt. 3

            Miley said, “Why are you reading your Eric letters? What happened to your prank?” I said, “I was about to pull it when I just wanted to see the clothes in mom's room fly with the wind. A letter floated down. From a different me.” Emmaline gasped, “You’re in the ribbon? YOU ARE TWICE LIGHT BOUND TO YOUR MATE? WHO IS IT?” I held up my letters. Lexi said, “SHUT UP!” Emmaline said, “NOOOO!” Miley asked, “What are you going to do? You promised not to pop in and meet him.” I smiled, “I don’t have to meet him. Emmaline and I can hide all our scents. We can pop in and see him.” Lexi said, “There is a summit going on right now.” Miley said, “Uhh flag on the play.” I said, “You don’t have a flag!” Miley groaned, “His wolf will sense you. You read me that letter when you asked about wolves and their mates.” I looked at Emmaline. She said, “We aren’t powerful enough.” I said, “I am one of the promised siblings Emmaline. We are the prophesied family. Aiden has known since I was born. We are strong enough together.” Lexi said, “Say what now? That promised super powerful family you guys talk about is REAL? AND ITS YOU GUYS?” I nodded. Emmaline said, “Wow….” I said, “I know. Apparently, Lexi’s parents knew about it too. And cousin Marcious.” Emmaline and Lexi said, “WHAT?” I said, “That realities me popped to Lexi’s parents. They were going to be murdered.” Lexi gasped. I continued, “I fixed it somehow. Emmaline…. your mom’s husband was somehow bad to you, but I fixed that too.” 

            Emmaline was contemplating. She said, “Well, let’s get going.” I nodded, “Lexi, you find out what meeting Eric is in. Emmaline, gather our supplies to conceal ourselves completely from even wolves' senses. Miley you get us outfits. We are going in stealthily.” Miley said, “You’ll have to wear black.” I said, “Then you’d better make them SUPER cute.” Miley said, “Oh no cousin! I’m going for sexy!” I laughed. Lexi typed furious for a few moments while I touched my necklace and read a few of our letter exchanges. Tears filled my eyes. I conjured my black wolf I’d had since I was five. I hugged it tight. I whispered, “I’m coming, Thor.” Lexi said, “I’ve got it.” Emmaline said, “Me too.” Miley said, “Conjure these outfits, Emmaline.” Emmaline laughed, “OH MY GOD! We are going to be drop dead gorgeous!” Emmaline conjured the outfits. She said, “Before we start this…. we need to talk about your feelings Hales.” I said, “I don’t want to talk about my feelings.” Miley said, “Too bad b***h!” I sighed. Emmaline said, “You are hurt but understanding.” I said, “I know why my family hasn't introduced us. The other realities me suffered, but it’s not fair. I didn’t suffer. I’ve had a great life. I know they are trying to protect me. Based on what I read…. I didn’t even finish the letter, but I know why they are so protective. I just wished I could’ve met him sooner. I’ve had this giant crush on him for years. I thought he thought I was some annoying kid, but he never did. I’m glad we’ve gotten to talk and exchange all these letters. He’s one of my best friends if I’m being honest, but….” 

            Emmaline said, “You long to meet him in person.” I said, “I do but I can’t.” Miley said, “I think they were afraid you’d move realms.” I said, “I’ll miss them when that day comes, but I can pop or open a portal home. It’s not like I would’ve been raised with Eric instead of here. Like I said…. I get it. I just want to know him.” Lexi laughed, “Which is why I got you, his number.” I nodded, “I need something big. I have to get him the BEST present! Or help him in some way to call him for our first phone conversation.” Miley said, “I’m pretty sure you could just call him.” Emmaline said, “That’s no fun!” I said, “And he can’t know I’m me.” Miley snorted. Lexi said “Hales…. he’ll know it’s you. He knows how you talk from your letters.” I said, “But if I don’t confirm it’s me…. then he doesn’t know for sure and doesn’t feel obligated to tell my brothers.” Emmaline said, “It could work.” I said, “I need you to conjure a phone. One of Aiden’s untraceable ones.” Emmaline said, “They are blocked from my magic. Only Aiden and Arion can access them” I yelled, “f**k!” Lexi said, “Why not take one from here?” I said, “Gunner would notice.” I thought about it. I called Arion. He answered, “Hello little sister.” I said, “I need a favor. No questions asked, and you can’t tell anyone.” Arion said, “Color me intrigued sister.” I continued, “I can’t color you…. never mind I need one of our untraceable phones.” Arion said, “Do you? How fun! I will do this for you if you answer ONE question of mine in return.” I sighed, “Fine.” Arion said, “Would this be a secret from our older brother AND your Hackura family? You have many untraceable phones at your disposal. It makes me think you turned to me in your time of need.” 

            I rolled my eyes. He wasn’t wrong though. I said, “You’re right. It’s a secret from all of them. I am turning to you in a moment of need.” Arion said, “How delightful! I feel this is a big step in our relationship, little sister. You and I finally share a secret together.” A phone appeared on my bed. A pink one. Aiden replied, “It should be there. I even changed the color to your favorite one.” I said, “It’s here. Thank you, brother. You have no idea what this means to me.” Arion said, “You will be safe, right?” I said, “I will be safe. It’s not dangerous.” Arion said, “Good. have fun with our secret. One day you will have to tell me about it.” I said, “That’s fair.” Arion laughed, “Of course it is.” He hung up. Miley said, “UGH now I have to hate him a little less.” I said, “He’s a good brother.” Miley said, “He’s a mediocre brother.” I sighed. I knew I wouldn’t change her mind. Instead I snapped us into our outfits. Lexi whistled, “We are hot mommas!” We were in skintight black outfits. They were low cut, and all our boobs were on display. There was a zipper from the crotch to right above our waist. It had see through mesh sleeves and knee high black books. Emmaline giggled, “I feel like such a bad girl right now! I should be spanked.” Miley leaned over and spanked her ass. Emmaline laughed, “Much better.” 

            Emmaline and I sat down. We sprinkled the sugar around us. She had ginger to add to it. She’s gotten the concealing stone. We’d have to conjure that back quickly. We took each other’s hands. We started to chant, “cries addto   pleas.  Megroup  to actin unseen.  Outa falhing.  With the greatest  ina falhing.  Orto da  ticytoky.  Megroup  to the ,  addto  to finmus point ina thee (hear our cries and hear our pleas. We need to be unseen. Hidden from all. Even though with the greatest sense of all. For a short time hide us please. We come to the sky, earth and water to ask this of thee.)” We repeated it six times then a blue and white light flashed into me, then Emmaline. It then searched the room finding Lexi and lastly Miley. I felt all my connections mute. They would still feel me, but unless they were actively checking they would have no idea I’d left the realm. Miley said, “Wow…. does that mean it worked?” Emmaline quickly conjured the concealing stone away. She stood, “For the next several hours…. we will not be able to be sensed by anyone.” Lexi said, “I can think of at least ten times that would’ve been super helpful to us Hales.” I laughed, “I didn’t know I was powerful enough to do it until I read a note from another me.” Lexi said, “Alright. Conjure some cameras and mics. Eric is in a conference room meeting with several Beta's and Alpha’s about some issue.” I frowned. Was he still dealing with that Alpha whose parents died? I thought about having mics and cameras in the room Eric was in. 

            Emmaline grabbed our hands and we popped into an empty room in the hotel the summit was at. Lexi quickly hooked up her laptop to the outlet for battery and cast to the tv. We turned it on. Emmaline said, “WOW! Check out that guy! If he’s Eric…. I’ll have to secretly hate you Hales.” I said, “That’s not him. He’s the guy with blonde hair.” Miley’s eyes narrowed, “How do you know that?” I showed them my phone without taking my eyes off the screen. He was beautiful. He was also PISSED. Emmaline yelled, “DIBS on the tall guy with dark hair… LOOK at his muscles…...in a few years…. I’ll eat him up.” I snorted, “Why not now?” Emmaline shrugged, “He seems sophisticated. I need to mature.” I studied the men in the room. From our letter I was pretty sure I knew who Emmaline was crushing on. I said, “I think that’s Lucas. The description from Eric’s letter matches him. The man sitting at the table beside Lucas is Dylan…. I think….and the other guys are his brother. OHH That has to be Caleb! Oh and Marshall! This is so exciting!” Miley said, “They are all mad. Really mad.” Lexi said, “And the sounds up!” Eric shouting was so loud we had to turn down the volume. I said, “Even his voice is sexy.” Emmaline said, “Come on man we think is Lucas. Talk. Let me hear that sexy voice I just feel you have.” I snorted. Miley said, “Look at our little fairy flirt getting all twitterpated from a video screen.” Emmaline flushed. I said, “Leave her be. Fairies flirt and she thinks he’s cute.” 

            Eric was shouting about the girl with Alpha Max. I took Lexi’s computer. I used the program she had set up to find out more about Alpha Max. This had to be the man Eric had written to me about. Apparently, even the hood had heard of his mistreatment of Alpha Max’s Luna. I had just read the line about him taking her child away from her when Miley said, “THAT SON OF A b***h! Did you just hear that?” I said, “No, what?” Miley said, “He told Eric he didn’t understand the mate bond because he’s twenty-eight and hasn’t met his mate.” My eyes filled with tears, “How DARE he say that!” My eyes went gold. I watched Eric lunge for Alpha Prater. Eric told him he would meet his mate one day. Alpha Prater mocked him saying they all knew he waited for the fairy. He taunted him saying the fairy probably killed his mate. My hands balled into fists. “THAT POMPOUS ARROGANT ASSHOLE!” Miley said, “Let’s kill him.” Lexi said, “Eric might get in trouble for that.” I said, “Not if WE kill him. I need the perfect present, and Alpha Prater is looking like the perfect gift.” My heart and light tugged on me. I instantly felt ashamed. That girl needed help, and I was focused on a stupid man. We all gasped when Eric said Alpha Max raped and tortured his mate. 

            I cleared my throat, “I know the perfect gift. These wolves can’t act without that bastard Prater on their side, but we can.” Miley said, “f**k YES WE CAN!” Lexi said, “I don’t know if we should.” I said, “We should. Miley and I have the blood of the defenders of the realm. I will not leave this she wolf in those conditions at the hand of some sadistic bastard. Some other me came here to save me from that fate. I cannot sit by and allow someone else to suffer that. Eric dropped Alpha Prater and disbanded their alliance. He encouraged everyone to follow his lead. I gasped. I knew that was a really big deal from our letter. Emmaline said, “Didn’t Eric tell you that was a REALLY big deal?” I nodded. Lexi said, “Alpha Eric Conners is the strongest Alpha around. The others will disband their alliance as well.” My head whipped around, “He’s the strongest Alpha?” Lexi nodded, “Yup. By far.” I smiled. Pride for my mate filled me. Miley said, “Of course he is b***h! He has to be worthy of a double princess.” The man we were pretty sure was Lucas agreed with Eric. Emmaline sighed, “Now that’s just a real man right there.” I looked at her. I said, “Emmaline, does your power work on yourself?” She frowned, “What do you mean?” I asked, “Is Lucas Lyons your mate?” She gasped and covered her face. I said, “ANNND there it is.” Emmaline said, “He’s so handsome!” Miley laughed, “How unfair is that Lex? We are BOTH older than them, and our mates haven’t shown up yet.” I said, “We will find them for you.” Emmaline said, “I promised my dad when I found my mate I’d sit down and talk it through with him before meeting my mate.” My eyes narrowed, “Seems to be a lot of those types of promises going around for partial fairies.” Emmaline frowned, “Yeah, there does.” 

            We’d missed part of the conversation as Eric stormed out of the room. Miley said, “He’s probably going to his room.” I conjured cameras and mics into his room. He poured a glass of whiskey and drank it in one gulp. He threw the glass at the wall and it shattered. My eyes went wide. We were in the room below him. Emmaline whispered the space unheard chant. He grabbed at his neck and pulled out a necklace. The necklace I’d bought him for his birthday this year. I touched the screen, “I wish I could comfort you, Eric.” I turned, “Someone needs to be there for him.” Miley said, “Lucas is going to him.” We watched them for a moment. The tone of the room changed. I smiled. Our mates were going to find comfort in each other. Emmaline smiled, “Our mates are close.” Miley said, “More than close.” I said, “I’m glad they have each other right now. I wish it was us though.” Emmaline said, “Me too. Damn promises. Damn us for concealing ourselves. Really, we only have my dad, your brother, and ourselves to blame.” I said, “Let’s go get them their perfect gift.” Emmaline smiled, “Let’s go get Alpha Max.” I said, “Oh we are going to kill Alpha Max, and bring his Luna and child here.” Lexi said, “I like it.” I snapped her into her BA gear. Emmaline grabbed Miley and I grabbed Lexi. We popped and studied the patrols done by the pack. It wasn’t hard to spot Alpha Max. He was ranting and raving like a lunatic. 

            A wolf ran over, “Alpha, he has never even seen the Luna! He joined the pack four months ago, Remember? He doesn’t want her!” Alpha Max snarled, “Every man who sees her wants her! She’s mine! You want to see how much she is mine?” That didn’t sound good. The man said, “No, please Alpha. I know the Luna is yours. Please….do not hurt her.” Alpha Max laughed a hollow laugh, “She is mine to do with as I please! Everyone needs to learn that.” Alpha Max dragged the screaming member of his pack into the house. It didn’t take a genius to figure out where he was going. I nodded to Emmaline. We popped into the dungeons. I barely stopped my gasp. There was a woman covered in dirt. She was naked and shivering. There was blood caked all over her body. She had no bed. No water. No toilet. The stench was overwhelming. Anger filled me. My eyes were blazing gold. I looked to the side so were Miley’s. Alpha Max came downstairs yelling, “w***e! I KNOW YOU WANT HIM!” She scrambled to the other side of her cell. He laughed, “It won’t help you. You can’t escape me. You’re mine, forever.” She said, “Please Max! I’ve been good! I just want to see our son. Please! I don’t even know that man.” Alpha Max screamed, “LIAR! I have to show you your place again. You will NEVER see our son if this keeps up you little w***e!” He threw the cell door open. The pack member was crying, “Please Alpha! Don’t hurt the Luna!”

            The other man ran down. He said, “Max…. please…. she’s done nothing wrong.” Alpha Max turned, “Do you want her too? My own beta!” Alpha Max turned to face his Luna “YOU w***e! You turn my pack against me?” He went to strike her. I’d had enough. I popped into her cell and threw him against the wall. I said, “You f*****g psycho!” He growled, “Who are you?” I said, “Really? Are you that far gone that the whole popping in with golden eyes didn’t give me away?” Alpha Max’s Beta gasped, “You’re the fairy Hackura princess.” I said, “Very good. You should stop being an ass to the smartest guy in the room.” I snapped the woman behind me clean and into clothes. Alpha Max growled, “SHE DOESN’T DESERVE CLOTHES!” I said, “You don’t deserve to draw breath.” I snapped my fingers conjuring my swords. His eyes widened then the strangest thing happened. His eyes cleared and they were pleading me with. I glanced at Emmaline. She shook her head. I closed my eyes. There was something wrong with him, probably a spell, but we couldn’t save him. I beheaded him. A voice from the door said, “She killed the alpha! Attack! We are under attack!” He ran out of the room. The beta was frozen in place. I nodded to Emmaline. She popped outside with the girls. I popped the Luna to her son. I said, “I’ll be right back. You’re safe now.” I popped outside to see arrows flying. Emmaline was drawing people and pelting them with icicles. I made it rain. Emmaline smiled and began to form a riptide. I popped behind Miley and Emmaline. I made the wolf coming from behind explode. Several paused. Those that didn’t I started to take their air. Before I could release my tornado, someone yelled, “WAIT!”

      I turned to see the Beta had run out. He said, “EVERYONE STAND DOWN!” They all shifted back. He said, “Look, we all know Alpha Max was losing it. He was my best friend, but he was deteriorating.” Emmaline said, “There was a dark spell cast on him. I’m sorry it was very bad and eroded his soul. We couldn’t have saved him. He had to die, or he would’ve continued killing and growing madder. If we’d known sooner…. I might have been able to save his soul.” People gasped. The Beta sounded relieved when he said, “A spell? He acted this way over a spell?” Emmaline nodded. The Beta said, “I failed him. He was looking into something, but he didn’t tell me about then…. Then he just… went crazy.” I said, “You didn’t fail him. I’m sure we can find out what he was looking into. I’m sorry we were not in time to save him. I’m taking the Luna and her child away to heal. What happens next is her choice.” The beta said, “Their son is the future Alpha.” I said, “A baby can’t lead. I’m sure your allies will help you.” The Beta winced, “We have none left.” I said, “Now that Alpha Max is dead…. they will come back.” The beta sighed. He said, “We will say this was a rogue attack. You all heard the water fairy. There was a spell cast on Max. That spell was what killed our Alpha. We WILL find who made him lose his mind and soul. He will be avenged.” Howls filled the air. He stuck out a hand to us, “You protected our Luna where we could not. You probably saved several people here. He’s killed men for thinking they want her. I barely stopped him from killing a group of pups he wanted to kill thinking they wanted to be the next Alpha. My mate has been beside herself worrying for our soon to be born son.” I said, “We will try to help you find what warlock or witch that did this.” 

        The Beta nodded, “I know the man Max used to be. He would thank you for stopping him. He loved Stephanie so much. To know what he’d done to her… would’ve killed him.” I shook his hand. I said, “I am sorry for your loss.” The Beta looked away, “I lost him six months ago.” I snapped everything back to its natural state. The Beta said, “This will help with the rogue cover story.” I smiled, “I’ll send someone to help you.” I knew Eric would help. The man said, “As long as this is kept secret so I can avenge Max. Whatever coven did this will pay.” I nodded. I popped with my group back to the Luna’s room. I grabbed her and her son. I popped us to a room on Eric’s floor. She looked around with wide eyes. She said, “Where are we?”
